Our offense was non existent tonight. The Jazz slacked off the perimeter and closed the driving lines. The Rockets still drove over and over, getting turnover after turnover. Hopefully it was a fluke game and not other teams learning to exploit our weaknesses.
the only way we win is by lowry putting up triple doubles. when he doesnt, we rely on chandler parsons to carry the team. let's make the playoffs.
If the Nets strike out on Dwight and the risk of losing D-Will to free agency... Plus the Lakers wanting Lowry... Morey's infatuation with Pau... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6n8v26m Fine then!
Lowry came back to earth (-23), Martin still invisible (6pts) and Scola still getting owned by everyone defensively who he plays against and j*zz dominating the paint (50 rebounds), it all culminated in a cake walk for them.
Is this the first game the Rockets got blown out so bad this season? I don't remember the last time I turned off a Rocket's game. Just unwatchable basketball after the first half.
The Jazz frontcourt were quiet except for Jefferson who was guarded by Dalembert and Patterson. Even then Jefferson's point weren't impactful.
The three ball (and Martin's shots in general) wasn't falling so we we couldn't keep them honest. The J*zz, on the other hand, had complete scrubs like Miles hitting contested shot after contested shot. Just one of those nights.
Did McHale sleep last night after that mess? I picture him up all night wired on coffee watching the game tape over and over.
not trying to bomb on mchale... but he should've called a timeout sooner in the 3rd quarter. INSTEAD... when it was dead silent in the arena (3rd qtr) he stood up and tried to rally the team with a 'cmon guys' round of applause. the whole lower bowl heard it... and it almost made the rockets play worse because they were getting called out by their coach. the rockets looked winded after the first half. they took bad shots and turned the ball over alot. i hated this game.
Rockets play ugly ball most nights But no, I personally remember the Clippers game earlier in the year. Just got their ass kicked up and down the floor. Not even close. Their 5th string PG and PF were doing Lob City. Just turrible. Oh yeah, and we play them here again soon.
It was this. Our shots just weren't falling. Rebounds were going away from our guys. We had freak turnovers. Things just weren't going our way for 2-3 quarters. If you're shooting 3 of 18 from behind the 3, then it's easy for your opponent to close off the lane and make it impossible to play in the paint. What's usually happened for us is that either the starters or the bench will save the game. But nothing went well for any Rocket last night. So when things just aren't going your way and they all go their way, you tend to lose...and often lose big...it was just one of those nights. I didn't see it as anything resembling a trend. This game didn't worry me.
Are you serious? Not saying that McHale's offense is great or anything, but that's hardly why they lost the game. They missed so many wide open shots and layups. Coach can't help there. This team is overachieving on offense this year imo.
I can't understand why the Rockets are so great one night and so awful the next. This is one of the most frustrating teams I ever witnessed here.
