Offensively there shouldn't be any question.. even in his rookie season he should score more than Dalembert in his best season. Defensively, I am not so sure about blocking 2-3 shots a game.
When you take the net, there is no comparison. Basketball is played on two ends. The net difference between Motie and Dally's offense is so much more lopsided than the net difference of their defense and that is taking into account Motie being a rookie. Some would argue that statement understandably but that's okay. Motie is the superior player to Dally. Any GM would trade Dally for Motie in a hot second.
I think Moti will turn out to be a good player, perhaps a Scola-level player with less holes in his game. He is another one of our good but not great players.
Out of all of our recent draft picks, I have the most hope for DMo as a potential great rotation player.
I wonder where he will rank amongst Euro bigs in the NBA - He can never touch Dirk or Gasols, not even Bargnani or Gortat. I doubt if he will be as good as Jonas or Kanter. Illyasova, Pekovic and Vuvevic are becoming forces to reckon with too. If D-Mo can produce in range with those last 3 guys then I will be very satisfied.

He seems very very efficient. 14/8 in 20 minutes is pretty impressive. His rebounding should translate very well to the NBA.
I remember reading a quote from Scola somewhere, maybe in response to a question of "any regrets" involving basketball, and I think he said, "Sure. I wish I was 3 inches taller!"
am watching and face-palming every 30 sec. their guards are H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! seriously, moti couldn't go to a better team to develop this year?
