Shumpert and Bibby for Dragic would be better.

Even if Dragic was traded there, it would probably relieve the stress on Lin and his minutes for the remainder of the season. Dragic is looking to start and would definately get paid with a new contract after free agency. Doubt they get rid of shumpert ( a ball chucker) for a rental? I could be wrong.

    In this thread

    -Dragic gets over-rated
    -Shumpert gets under-rated

good rookie contracts is the key fellows

    -C. Lee
    -G. Dragic
-A. Brooks (was traded after he was expiring)
-C. Landry (was traded after he was expiring)
-Lowry (was picked up on a rookie contract)

this deal would be a no brainer Morey deal if offered.

Do this trade! Dragic would leave at the end of the year or get overpaid.

Huh? Underrated? Shumpert has a 10.2 PER, 45TS%, a terrible AST/TO ratio, and negative offensive win shares. His defense is counter balanced by his atrocious offense.

And we already have defensive wings in Parsons and Lee who aren't huge negatives on the other side.

If NY wants him so bad, they can make a bid for him in the offseason like everyone else.

This seems like a fair trade.

I like to look at stats too, so I'm not bashing you, but Shumpert as a rookie has a good jump shot and drives to the basket well. ANYBODY who can drive to the basket who has a decent mid range game is a good talent to any team. Add to the fact that he's a rookie, and more importantly on a rookie contract, we would come out of this trade better. Plus his perimeter defense is better than anyone our team; of course this could be debated with Parsons, but that's a good debate to have if we actually got him. Again the contract is the key.

Shumpert is, dare I say it, Vernon Maxwell-esque.

If that's the case then just trade Flynn to the Knicks. None of the moves suggested a reason for the Rockets making the trade.
