Randomly saw this on Battier's Twitter. About a week old but quite a good read.

A blog post by former NCAA Player of the Year Nick Collison.

I don't think TWill has the dirty play in his game to be like Collison.

Collison is exactly what you want out of a role player big.

I know Collison does not provide much scoring but he's able to defend and collect rebounds while giving a team second chance opportunities so much better than say what the Rockets have in Scola and even other so called star 4 and 5s. I think moving Scola for just Collison would be a blessing. But why would OKC even do this?

More roleplayers need to take contracts like Collison. Yes, I realize this is excluding the giant bump he had last year. But, more teams need to use their available capspace for picks or for future contracts like this one.

    $3,272,997
    $2,929,332
    $2,585,668
    $2,242,003

    not that interesting.

I wonder how many NCAA role players with blogs have written the very same article, like maybe 100s of them. Just replace "NBA" with "college" and "college" with "high school".

^^^ That's what I'll forever associate Collison with. Not that particularly bad of a foul, but I remember Yao had just come back from the leg injury in December '06 so I was livid at the time. Didn't make a play on the ball, obviously hurt him but didn't give a crap. No respect. Props to McGrady for sticking up for the big fella though.

Look closely at Chris Wilcox at the 0.32-0.33 sec mark. For some odd reason Chris Wilcox proceeds to kiss the ref on his bald head.

Look at what Rodman did to Pippen once. They got over it and won 3 championships together. Collison has defensive prowess and solid role player game the Rox could use. I'm telling you he is a bargain but the only downside is a his age.

Everyone thinking of Terrence Williams and that's how he should be doing things, i'm thinking of Chandler Parsons and how he's pretty much doing everything mentioned.

This is exactly why Chandler Parsons > Terrence Williams

How to survive when you are not a star in the league?

Try to injure another team's star.

Too bad Yao was a nice guy, he should have kicked Collison in the face.
