I agree completely. Iron Man would hardly even present a challenge to Batman in a fight. But Batman would also be the hands down winner of a 'who has the crappier life' contest.
That's just not true at all. They got it on right in front of us in September's Catwoman #1. And though Bruce Wayne is a fake partier, both Bruce and Batman have always had busy sex lives.
Also, I doubt you'd find a single comic book pro from DC or Marvel that would suggest Iron Man could win a fight with Batman.

Why would someone want to be Bruce Wayne over Tony Stark? Bruce Wayne is angry/bitter all the time and Tony stark is smarter. Other than that they are the same.
Ironman can fly. Batman is probably smart enough to counteract that but so is Tony Stark. Both are geniuses, however Bruce Wayne is psychologically traumatized.
They aren't the same in any way other than that they're rich, white, men and fictional comic heroes. And Tony Stark is not at all smarter than Bruce Wayne. Reed Richards, maybe. Tony Stark? No way.
Believe Reed Richards is one of the smartest man alive that both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne can't hold a candle to (come on his villain is Galactus). His offspring can bend reality.
Batman has a intelligence on par with Mr. Terrific and the Martian Manhunter. Yeah. He isn't on Mr. Fantastic level, but he is definitely on par or superior to Stark. In fact, Stark is a brilliant engineer, but where was it shown that he is otherwise super intelligent?
The real answer is... DC character beats Marvel character Marvel at least tries to put you in a "what if this engineer had this cool suit" fantasy, DC is like "what if this billionaire was also a detective, in peak physical conditioning, an exceptional martial artist, a genius,etc."
After reading the Wikipedia page on Ironman. I'm starting to rethink my answer about who wins the fight. I hadn't realized that Tony Stark had made himself a cyborg and engineered his armor so his skin could extrude it.
