If we still had Hayes, I would want to play the Clippers

I think Dallas could meet their maker in the Houston Rockets

Chandler Parsons would do quite a number on Dirk and make him work for every shot

We are 4th but we are not locked up at the spot. That is a huge difference.

Dallas is ahead of us for some reason.
We are fifth. LA has a game.

just stay calm brother.. we're fourth but 2-3 losses on the bounce and all of a sudden we are right back with the pack.

I still think we will have a battle to make the playoffs.

and that is not me slagging this team off, it's just that the west is stacked with good teams

What makes me happy is the team we're matching up worst against probably won't make the playoffs (how u, Rick?)

Waaay too early for this. There are a lot of games left, and the Rockets aren't as good as their record. They've been winning a lot of close games lately (a lot of luck goes into that), and also have had good fortune as far as facing teams missing key players. They can still easily drop out of the playoff picture, especially if they lose a key player to injury for an extended period.

Winning close games is a sign of a good team. Also, good teams always have luck on their side.

I don't think luck plays as large a role as you think in close games. We sucked at close games last year, and have an almost opposite stat this year. I think coaching plays a bigger part in it, esp. since we mostly have the same cast.

Making the playoffs at all is still up for grabs. After seeing Dalembert play his first few games as a Rocket I was excited about our chances. Seeing him play since, not so much. We are clearly playing for a chance to let the Thunder sweep us out of the first round, but almost anything is better than the dreaded 9th spot with the 14th pick. If that happens, I am going to throw up and not watch the Rockets for a awhile. Especially after Morey picks another undersized forward. This team is so stuck in cement; it will take a miracle to break through.

Winning a bunch of close games is all luck?

Golden State averages 99.2 PPG and their opponents average 100.7 PPG.

They must be the unluckiest team in the league by that logic right?

Exactly. Its been said repeatedly since the beginning of time that good teams find a way to win games. We've undeniably done that so far. Give the team some credit.

I wouldn't mind playing the clippers if Scola is traded or Ppat is starting by then. Other than that, we could beat the spurs (with decent refs ) and MAYBE the Lakers
