DERRICK WILLIAMS IS NOT A SF, HE IS A POWER FORWARD Sorry for the big, but for some reason everyone thinks Williams plays the 3. He does not.
Scola+Dragic+Morris+Thabeet+NY 1st for Josh Smith This allows ATL to stay competitive and prepare for the time when they realize they have to forget catching Miami and start to rebuild. We get a foundation type of guy. Dalembert/Smith Patterson/Hill Smith/Parsons/Budinger Martin/Lee/Williams Lowry/Flynn I would rather see Budinger or Lee getting most of the backup point minutes as Flynn just sucks.
take morris out and put in Cbudinger, and we got a deal. I don't know if ATL will do that or not. Smith is a better 4 than 3 I think.
The Rox currently has enough flexibility to sign a MAX FA next year. I say EFF that, Howard and WIlliams are the only max FAs next year, and Howard has all this drama and Williams wants to play for Dallas. The rox right now has the same record as the Lakers, despite LA having 3 all star caliber players while the Rox currently have none. Simply put I'd rather get several good players rather than 1 superstar whom I expect to do everything. We're not gonna out superstar OKC, LA and the Heat anyway, might as well try a different approach. Trade number 1: Chuck Hayes for Hasheem Thabeet+cash. -You may not be following the Kings much, but Hayes is playing like Scrubby McScrub. He has averages of 20 mins a game, 3 pts and 5 rebs, most probably not what Sacto was expecting when they signed him LOL. Personally I think its more of Sacto's bad team than Hayes himself...Landry played like crap when he got there too but became his old self in NO. We get the Modesto Monster back, they get off his 5 year contract via Thabeet's expiring (+ cash which will cover his salary). Trade number 2: C bud+Patterson+Ny 1st for Paul George -This is the "foundation" type of trade we need. George is slowly but surely turning into a star, he's already the Pacers' best all around player. This trade might take us out of the 2012 draft, but honestly I think very few draftees in that class has more potential than George, he reminds me a lot of Tmac to be honest. Losing Patterson wouldn't be so bad with the Chuck Wagon back in the fold, and next year we'll have D-Mo arriving anyway. After the trade deadline, this is our 9 man rotation: Dalembert/Hayes Scola/Hayes George/Parsons Kmart/Lee Lowry/Dragic That's enough to get first round and contend with OKC IMHO.
Paul George is probably untouchable. You give up too much in that trade too. NY pick this year can easily give you Terrence Jones or somebody at the same level.
In case the Jeremy Lin and Carmelo Anthony duo just doesn't work.... HOU receives - Carmelo Anthony NYK receives - Kevin Martin, Pau Gasol, and their 1st round pick back from HOU LAL receives - A. Stoudemire, Goran Dragic, & Jordan Hill http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7qhdv22
It only matters what Morey and Kupchak think and ultimately decide to do. The rest of us are just spit balling.
OMG, if this happen, you will become the newest GM of Rockets, uh...no, you gonna become the NBA commissioner...
I think the cavs would take him. They need some kind of consistent scoring from someone other than Irving. Jamison + Thompson+ Future 1st (lotto-protected) for Stat and Fields.
This is a possible offseason trade, not a deadline deal: Houston trades NY Knicks pick, receives unprotected WAS pick Take back the Lewis/Blatche garbage platter for a fast rebuild, and buy them out immediately. If the Wiz are ready to stop sucking this should get them there. Apparently they believe in McGee's potential so perhaps they'll buy into a Wall, Martin, McGee core. All 25-and-under squad (except Lowry, who will be 26): Lowry/Llull Lee/Llull Morris/Budinger Patterson/Motiejunas Davis or Drummond (hopefully)/Motiejunas
Why not. It is an all-in gamble for a super star. I actually think we would be instant contenders. Lee and Dragic would take their place nicely. We would prove to Dwight that have a better surrounding cast than Orlando, if not we will have his Bird rights and will be able to offer him $30 million more than anyone else. Plus, I think we would still have a ton of cap space to sign his buddy D-Will.
This trade works well and seems to solve everyones problem. the deal is with Lakers & NYC. The problem the lakers need is a good point guard and trading gasol they will need a pf also. NYC - needs a back up point guard and to fix some of the chemistry Houston - is looking to cash it's chip and get a super star, with this trade we get 2. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7d9auq3 Houston gets Melo, Gasol, schump NYC gets World Peace, Martin, Flynn Lakers get Lowry, Scola & Thabeet We still retain the 2012 pick from NYC and Houston will make it to the play offs. Dragic/Twill Clee/Shumpert/twill Anthony/Parson/Bud Gasol/PPat/Morris Dalembert/Hill/Smith
drummond not going to be in draft 2 of worst players on the wizards? blatche is garbageeeeeeeeee. worst contract ever. lewis is overpaid to the max and has done nothing this season
Fact is it takes for tweeners to adapt to NBA style of play. It's not like Williams is favorite to win the ROY anytime soon.
To be fair I think that was his point.(that we take their Sh***y contracts) Although I wouldn't want that deal because even if he's on the bench Blatche is unhealthy for any team.
