What is the easiest way to go about getting it? I hear it is the ultimate hassel with very poor customer service.
You mean League Pass, or League Pass Broadband? For LP, your cable company will turn it on within seconds. For LPB, nba.com is an immediate online purchase. Never had a hassle. Even LPB's customer service has always been available during game days. Only call them when games are being played throughout the league. Not during the middle of the day.
what? Free as in you can watch all the games from here on out free? I used it during the free preview and it's cool.
Only the Houston games. If you live in Houston, you watch Rockets on FoxSW and buy LP if you want to watch the rest of the league.
Actually, the hassle you might be hearing about is purchasing LP from your cable company and activating the broadband service from nba.com. The full LP comes with broadband access. I forget how you activate the broadband service when you purchased the full LP from your cable provider.

The hassle shows up when you try and unsubscribe at the end of the season. If you don't, you no longer control when you pay again for the next year. After the season is over they make you wait a bit before you can cancel your subscription. Cancelling the subscription is a pain in the ass and about as unintuitive as they can make it. I will no longer subscribe on principle as I do not agree with their practices of auto-renewal and account management, which I view as shady and bordering on unethical.
Ya, so my name isn't on the cable bill. So I'd have to give my roommate money for the games, then they would have to cancel at the right time. Also would he have to start a username on NBA.com to match his cable bill? Still sounds like a pain but I was archiving the Philly game today and seeing HD Rocket games for under 2$ bucks a game sounds DREAMY.
