Is Northtrace Drive part of the "bad" area now? I know someone who lives there, and it didn't seem so bad in the 90s.
I worked out there before. Beltway 8 and Ella. Man you might be one of the most foolish people I have ever heard of. Have you never driven around the area? Have you not filled up gas in the area? Did you do 0 research? Didn't you find it odd that the first 6 months of your lease was free with a 500 credit score? Man you just doomed you and your girlfriend. Better hide yo wife, hide yo kids.
I haven't been out there since the 80's...but obviously things have taken a turn for the worse. I advise the OP to do what is advised in most prison movies when you're a new inmate; find the toughest meanest scariest person in your new complex and pick a fight on day 1 in order to show that you are not to be messed with.
Yes, I'd take it one step further and rob your neighbors and harass them therefore showing them you are the Alpha of your **** hole.
Exactly... I suggest finding a random "thug" and give him a beat down in front of the whole complex, preferably in front of the victims female. Proceed to drag the victim back to their apartment and throw all their posessions in the street for all to see. Last, leave your apartment door wide open at all times, NO ONE will dare enter. You have established alpha status and now can appreciate the spoils of victory. I would suggest wearing a wife beater shirt as well, and parking in the handicap spot... no one will say ****.

Also PLEASE be careful what color of clothes you wear. Green and Red are gang colors in Greenspoint...... I would COMPLETELY avoid these colors. Green is the primary gang color in that area, but there are pockets of Red and Blue.... I suggest you stick to black and white.... but not at the same time, just avoid bright colors. I really hope your car isn't Red, Blue or Green ... because that could result in problems... also, avoid stop and go traffic and driving home after dark.... last thing you want is to be driving home and have some hommie spray your car because it is a rival gang color.
LOL, you guys are scaring six shades of crap out of this poor OP.... That being said, yeah....I used to work at Imperial Valley and Beltway 8 and I would hate the winter because I would have to drive home in the dark. I'm sure you'll be okay, though.
