Anyone watch this? It's a show with SNL's Fred Armisen that makes fun of pretentious hipsters, people who go overboard on being green and all sorts of other far left types. Its equally hilarious and weird. First season on Netflix now.

I just got back from a trip to Portland, I felt like I was stuck in the 1990's.

If you switched out the Asians with Mexicans and the perpetual rain with crippling drought, you'd have Austin.

Excellent beer and food though, especially Thai/Pizza.

LaMarcus Aldridge was on the last episode, playing Penny Marshall's BF. Marshall was the missing former owner of the Femminist bookstore. I saved the BSG episode from this season on my DVR. Great episode.

this one made me laugh hard. mainly because my wife's family is from spokane, wa, and that culture is such a contrast to here.

Aubrey Plaza guest starred a few times. Those were the only ones I watched.

Pretty funny though, should probably catch up on the rest of them.

Yes watched all season 1. Need to catch up on season 2.

Its mocking hipsters and greenies. Wouldnt say its totally anti-hipster, more just poking fun at themselves. Though SOMEONE had to make fun of them properly

I agree, I don't think it's anti-hipster as much as tongue in cheek self parody.

I watched it awhile ago and was surprised there wasn't a thread on here at the time. I love when Armisend does parodies of certain 'personalities' on SNL like the one-man off broadway show actor. So Portlandia was a great concept imho. And the main co-star is one of the members of Sleater-Kinney. The Battlestar Galactica episode was awesome. What else do you need?

Fred Armisen is a comedic Genius.. I just wish this show has more than 6 episodes a season.. How man episode so far for season 2???
I bought the bluray for season 1 recently, a ton of extra bonus feature on there..
