Not even close to the same. Catching two balls in each hand in the air a lot harder.

Trying to do a 360 windmill dunk in the dark is a lot harder

IF there were a $1M grand prize, then the NBA has to select all stars.

Because otherwise, the end of the bench scrub (like a Jeremy Evans) would probably do anything possible to win it (and that would be the last thing the NBA wants).

At least this time, LeBron was careful with his words by saying consider.

So what, it looks a trillion times better because it had more power, more finesse and more vertical

George is gimicky although that was a nice dunk everything else in this contest was garbage. VC was pure ownage on almost all of his dunks.

Considering it made it tougher to see the rim, yeah, I would say it made the dunk different.

Then why'd you say it was a copycat dunk then? Either way who cares, I'm just saying Evan's dunk is not even close to the same as Finley's, which you consider a copycat dunk. I guess when two balls is involved its copying Finley's dunk, so any dunk with one ball is also copying any other one ball dunk.

the HELL with giving them more money.......put Dobbs and the other guys in there, let them embarrass the NBA players into participating. You could tell Lebron felt it when he gave him the trophy. Lebron couldn't even look at him or up.

I hope Wall goes through with it next year. It'll be HUGE for him and the league.

Someone should bring out a trampoline next year and flip like they do at the halftime shows.

The Commish should make the players participating at these events Mandatory. That way the league/fans can pick Who they want to see.

LeBron would win hands down! :p

That said, this is the guy who already said he was going to enter before and of course, backed out.

I think this says it well(minus the "Missing from his legacy...")
[rquoter]James won't be joining us this year, either. He seems hellbent on getting his name in the papers, and by papers I mean internet about being in the dunk contest. But that rest is too valuable. And James honestly has very little upside to participating. He'll have massive expectations being stacked up against all those players and should he lose, it's just one more thing to add to his resume of failure. How do you exceed expectations in the dunk contest? James already had the second best dunk of the decade over John Lucas III Sunday. And after watching Blake Griffin destroyed Kendrick Perkins Monday, would you want to go up against the reigning champ?

The reality is that James should have done the contest in his second year, or sometime in his first five. His wear and tear, position relative to the greats in the game, oh, yeah, and massive number of parties he hosts and attends during All-Star Weekend make it way too much to invest in. But he'll continue to tease, because he knows Michael Jordan did it. But barring a miracle, it will remain a missing piece of his legacy, even it's largely a silly exhibition.

But, if he did do it...[/rquoter]

    My goodness dude

Some other guy said George's dunk was a copycat dunk and Vince's was the original. That's why people don't like it.

I said every dunk these days is a copycat. The idea of dunking two basketballs has already been done before. Hell, McGee dunked three basketballs last year. Evans just changed it up.

Just like George changed it up.

And I'm just saying its not the same dunk. Just like every one ball dunk is not the same as every other one ball dunk. No one not every dunk is copycat dunk
