    Documentaries I don't think should count. I understand they are judged at the Oscars, but they are as much investigative news reporting as they are movies. Moreso really.

    I don't understand why they are part of the Oscars?

    1. Taxi Driver changed John Hinckley, Jr's view of the world.
    2. I'm pretty sure Schindler's List provoked much rethinking of the Holocaust.
    3. And let's not forget Deep Throat...(hell, they showed that on Rice campus for $2 admission in the Chemistry Auditorium. As many freshman girls as guys went. It very much helped shape thinking on campus.)
    There's 3...That was easy.

    So, let's just hope The Dictator doesn't inspire a new Gaddafi like The In-Laws did.

    as far as i can tell, cohen basically makes his $ by mocking muslims, gypsies, gays, and blacks through his various characters......color me uninterested...

    Actually, his character Ali G's interviews mocked whites on a constant basis. Same with Borat: put whites in a room with rappers and muslims and watch them make a fool of themselves.
