Better delete your Facebook and twitter accounts because...you know... nothing is wrong with how FABULOUS it is and nothing happened. (unless you wrecked into another car)

You should probably start yelling, screaming, and lob insults at anyone on clutchfans who mentions or quotes your post, or who doesn't agree with how little a deal this was that you posted that.

oh I almost forgot, get the most expensive lawyer in town too because, well nothing happened. Have to cover yourself from the "no big deals"

    Look like he's admitting guilt.

Legal obligation is to leave a note at the minimum I think. What a turd. I bet he was loaded and is lucky he didn't get a DWI.

That's a pretty weasely way of saying you're sorry.

If you did it, just freaking fess up and get it over with.

Don't draw out this investigation, especially if you plan on paying for the freaking damages anyway.

Why do you think he backed up 70' to hit the bouncer's car?

Straight married men don't go to gay bars solo (unless they're gay) -- why is it such a big deal to say that this guy should come out of the closet?

So, why in the hell would an innocent man offer to pay damages for a crime he didn't commit?

What is he ducking/avoiding? They can't get him on a DWI/DUI, it's far too late for that now.

Is he just trying to tip-toe around the fact he was at a gay bar/club & drag show?

If so, I feel sorry for him. That's no way to live.

Far be it for me to defend Michael Berry, but this happens all the time. Because the cost of fixing the problem is far less (in more ways than one) than dealing with the fight. I advise clients along these lines allllll the time; everyone wants to fight for principle until they get the invoice.

If this were the case, would he not insist on his innocence in his public statements?

He says he will pay it "whether he is found at fault or not". At no point does he say he did not do this.

What is the point in that, other than to leave the door open to deniability that you were even there?

It's like he wants to give himself every possible chance and opportunity to deny he was there, even if it's almost 99.99% sure they're gonna bust his ass.

"... reads a letter from Dick DeGuerin."

The fact that he felt compelled to hire this particular attorney, for something so seemingly innocuous, indicates that this story is not going away quietly.

Usually there's just not an admission of fault at all. But this is defintely different, because the press coverage started BEFORE the parties started talking.

he's been informed the D.A. is investigating....any one of us would at least consult if not hire an attorney in that instance, provided we could afford it.

i feel like john adams defending the redcoats here. :) i'm really not defending at all...just sharing experience with process.

I appreciate the insight Max, but this smells funkier than a normal "lawyer up" scenario.

I'm guessing this is all going to end with Berry going on an episode of Dr. Phil or something.

That was a joke. My way of saying "there's more to this/we haven't heard the end of it". If you disagree with that, then, well, good for you.

This guy gets on the radio every day and spews his bloated opinions and throws stones from his soap box. Is he too good to admit he did something wrong and face the music?? Why is he better than anyone else??? Oh it’s because he tells us all every day when he’s tossing stones in every direction. Bottom line.....I don't have any issues with someone being gay...that’s your preference. Don't have any issues going to a gay bar....if that's how you want to spend your nights.; so be it. Just fess up and be a MAN about it. You can't back your way out of this one buddy...this isn't a smear campaign! You were there!! A big time conservative stone chuncker in a gay bar and then broke the law upon leaving! That's not a smear buddy...it's called being held accountable. You can't flee the scene of an accident; whether it's cause you were afraid someone was going to spot you or drunk out of your mind. Man up and handle the situation and stop acting like you're the victim. I feel sorry for his wife...
