According to varios reports, Chandler has not reached long term agreement with Denver and is trying to drum up another offer for Denver to match (or not match). Interesting twist: because it is now past opening date, he does not have the option of taking a qualifying offer for the rest of the season and become unrestricted in the summer. So, he is apparently considering sitting out the rest of the season and test restricted FA again in the summer. The same rule will applies to Aaron Brooks.
Now that is interesting. For some reason I thought they could still accept the QO, and go from there. Basically they wasted an entire year of their career by playing in China if that is truly the case.
Damn, I just picked him up in Yahoo! So its either long term with Denver or no deal? Guess I should pick up Gustavo Ayon again.
Denver needs him because they are in a bind but he's not worth a long-term contract IMO. Wilson Chandler is nothing special at all.
I think he is a really good player - he is a 2 way player who is a great defender - can play the 2 and 3 - can shoot and handle the ball - great rebounder for a perimiter player - would love to have him on the rockets - imo is a better courtney lee
Watching him 3-4 times with Denver last regular season, he didn't impress at all. On top of that, he was a flaming train wreck in the OKC playoff series. I see him as a tweener that might be a good 7th-8th man. I don't think he can stay in front of many SGs. Not saying he's bad, but if the guy is looking to "get paid", I'd let another team do it if I were the Nuggets.
