Ouch!! I doubt it, my gut feeling is that santorum will drop next, he is getting exposed for what he is. But we do have some fanatical christians that will support him regardless.

If by official count you mean the AP count, it only works for bound delegates. It awards the unbound delegates by proportionality, which is really lazy, but par for course in modern journalism. This hasn't mattered in 32 years, because that's when we last had a convention that mattered. The AP count will undercount those with good organizations like Romney and Paul, and overcount those without an organization like Gingrich and Santorum.

    DW;TCP.

TC: Does it bother you that Romney is laughing at Paul while Paul is doing Romney's bidding? Does it bother you that by supporting Paul you are supporting Romney? Also, while I'm here, does it bother you that the sky is green?

I'm not so sure supporting Paul = Romney. Paul is an entirely different animal, maybe even a mix between the two... BAT - MAN

lol I find it funny people questioning this. Ron Paul said it last night, John King repeated it, the Paul campaign has been saying for WEEKS that their delegate sounds is alot different then what the MSM shows. I'll believe an experienced campaign knows what they are doing. Apparently Obama did it this way when he won the nomination. Hilary won the big states, but Obama was able to grab the majority of the delegates in the caucus states.

Youtube Doug Wead. This guy will teach and educate you if you choose to give him the light of day.

Speaking of contributions, you've been here for over a decade, logged 20,000+ posts, and have yet to contribute a penny to the site.

    C'mon, son.

No, the system is set up this way in the states for a reason and it is very even. Every supporter/voter has the opportunity to stay for the delegation choosing process- that is the point- to find out the candidate that most people have the most belief and is most passionate about- not lackluster paid off voters and miss-counts. It's only the other candidates supporters fault for not choosing to support and believe in their candidate enough to try to become a delegate. THAT IS THE REAL VOTE the straw poll is a vague popularity contest which can be swayed The real vote is the delegation process- The other candidates did not have enough supporters (votes) in the delegation process- it is not like if they didn't support their candidate they couldn't vote/attend- they could have.

Do not act like Ron paul is cheating the system if you don't want to think any candidate before hasn't tried the same- it is notoriously known that the delegates pre-convention are bought hefty dinners and spoiled rotten (given splendid gifts) by all the candidates to try to get them to sway their vote their way.. the problem is Pauls delegates are passionate about Paul enough that money and gifts will not sway their votes.

Obama did this same exact thing to get elected

No, the source is the people who have papers who verify they are an elected delegate coming out and saying 'I'm a Ron Paul Delegate'. Not hard with simple searching to find threads like 'Yay I'm a Ron Paul delegate (papers to prove it!)'

The media has told him 'If you support Paul your supporting Romney, they are (supposedly) in cahoot!!!!!!'

Also if you didn't know Paul is supposedly a racist also.....

Thanks for the laugh ToyCen428, it was great to hear how nutty the libertarian/conservative host was. I had to agree with Romney. What can you do, but laugh at the moron. " M1. M1, M1" hahahaha. I stopped listening at that point. Did the host start repeating gold standard over and over, also? or "statism" or "fiat money" or other phrases over and over?

It was also good to hear that poor Romney is half way sane. The stuff he has to put up with . In other Republican venues he has to I assume act like he doesn't believe in climate change, or evolution or contraception or other crazy stuff.

No sorry - I meant the count from the convention (referring to 2008). But if they didn't take an accurate count there as you indicated, then those numbers don't provide a useful comparison point.

    Awesome Paul Video

    <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4IuamBVphR8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4IuamBVphR8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Supposedly at the GOP Convention when the delegates vote there will be another mass military march at the convention- I wonder how many non-Paul delegates that may influence to change
