You'd think we'd have learned by now, but I guess the remaining "Free T-Will" posters still don't grasp the concept of professionalism in the NBA.
considering we have paraded Jordan Hill out on the court as an NBA center, I don't see what all the uproar is about. Washington is toxic from top to bottom...I would love to see what this guy could do with some guidance.
Pamela McGee's (JaVale's mom) interview this season makes me kind of interested in bringing him in and see what Kevin McHale can do with him. Specifically, Pamela complained that the Wizards didn't bring in a great big man (like Ewing in Orlando or Abdul-Jabbar in LA) to tutor McGee. I wonder if Kevin McHale can get through to the guy (and his mom). Leaving aside the actual knowledge about post play, McHale at least has the kind of resume that may earn some trust from the McGees and have JaVale concentrate on learning rather than doubting the quality of big man coaching he's receiving.
It would help, but it's just like being in class...you fill it with knuckleheads who don't listen and act up and they're going to highly influence those kids who aren't strong minded enough to not buy into it. It doesn't mean those kids are dumb or just like them, more like they lack self-control and choose to go with the flow. Put those kids in a class with better students and they'll act better and get better grades. Change the peers that are pressuring them.
Depends on who we give up and get. Hill, bud and a future second is the most is give up. And hell no to blatche.
Very true. McGee is not the only player going nowhere, John Wall's development is stunt too. The franchise is a huge part to their immaturity and failure. This could be one of those low risk/high reward moves, with McGee's value plummeting fast.
Those arguing about the Wizards organization should also think about McGee being set in stone already. He's been there for 5+ seasons and just bringing him here isn't going to erase the last 5 years. Do you really think after he's be getting away with all that he has he'll just conform to this organization? You think He'll just stop being stupid? Example: Terrance Williams. Now you want another one?
Javale is stuck on a sh!tty team basically. i don't this guy being any worst than thabeet. art least javale has seen timeo n the floor, and we all know what he can (and can't) do.
I do Patterson + Flynn for him. That opens up room for Donatus next year and also allows us to do the Pau Gasol trade. Buddinger + Dragic + Scola + Thabeet for Gasol Lowry / Twill Martin / Lee Parsons/ Morris Gasol / Hill Dalembert / McGee That's a contending team in my opinion. Allows us to let Hill and Twill Expire and bring over Donatus and Llull Lowry/ Llull Martin/ Lee Parsons / Morris Gasol / Donatus Dalembert / McGee
Not sure what it takes but yeah if he responds to a better winning environment it might be worth a look.
how about ZBo as a counter example? or Sheed getting traded to Detroit? I mean, up until a couple years ago Tyson Chandler was considered a bust who couldn't stay on the court... I am not saying this guy is going to land in Houston and suddenly the light bulb is going to go off, but there are plenty of examples of guys flourishing after leaving a toxic environment. couple that with the fact big men generally take longer to peak, and I think it is a calculated risk worth taking.
Javale's mom is correct. just because his coach, and teammates are b****made doesn't mean that he is.
I wanted 2 trade 4 him last year but this year I jus don't noe but if we did get him at da deadline I'll probably be happy
The thing is that Those two guys where knuckle heads but they're skills were great! McGee's skills? He can dunk and he can block shots. That's it. Tyson Chandler? Maybe but Tyson Chandler wasn't stupid. He didn't forget to look for the basketball on a missed shot. McGee has mental problems. Not just maturity.
I dont see why we cant offer them up Dalembert and a few bench players to get him. Maybe just Scola for him straight up. Heck go ahead and give away that nearly worthless Knicks 1st round draft pick, Jordan Hill, and Dalembert for him. Start with younger guys on the team.
