I think that Morey will move Scola at the deadline and will experiment with Morris backing up either PPat at the 4 or Parsons at the 3.
Not GIVING him a fair shake? GIVE me a break! You have to EARN your chances. You think the Rockets don't want him producing on the court after using a first round pick on him? Some people on here need to get a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those are good picks. The Rockets probably have more risk/reward in their picks which is odd coming from a Morey led front office. Vucevic and Brooks are going to be good players in this league, but I just dont see all-star potential even with Brooks who is a very smooth shooting guard, but I dont see a guy who can just take over a game. Good picks though, but I still wouldnt put Vucevic in the lottery, but we will see in a few years what happens.
really? you don't see it in Brooks? he is a star waiting to shine, if he was anywhere but the worst team in the league he would be getting noticed
I see a solid shooting guard. He's silky smooth and will be able to hit open shots, but keep in mind that he's playing on a terrible team with plays being run for him specifically. I dont know what kind of role he would have on a playoff team. Terrence Williams looked like the next Lebron when he played for the Nets mind you. I dont think he's someone you can run your offense through, but like alot of players the coach and the system he finds himself in throughout his career will determine alot of his success. That being said, I think he's a very solid player, and should have a long career, but I dont see him being an All Star on a playoff team. He was however, a steal in this years draft. I dont know how so many teams passed on him.
Personally, i don't think what is happening to Marcus is all his fault. I truly believe if he were on any other team he would be playing.
Yeah....sure. You have no idea how early he was coming to practice, and how late he was staying to work with coaches. Maybe he worked harder, maybe he didnt. Truth is he got on the floor faster than Morris because his defense has been nothing short of amazing. He breaks down less than 10% on defense. Thats Battieresque. Maybe Morris puts the ball in the bucket easier than Parson's but we all know thats not the problem. The initial shot that he got was strickly based on his size. At 6'10" he gave them better size to compensate for the lack of defense on the perimeter and from Scola. They made the call early on to give him Parsons the first chance to take it the starting job for Budinger and he has done whats necessary to solidify his role. Mind you they are 18-9 since he was moved into the lineup.
Agreed. The fact that he has been in the D-League with the Rockets means much less than it would on other teams.
Parsons didn't play in the first game of the season. Morris got the first opportunity but looked like he had a severe case of stage fright. Parsons simply beat him out for minutes. They also had a post-draft training camp where Parsons supposedly had impressed over Morris.
lin is not on this roster for one reason and one reason only, he did not have a guaranteed contract and there roster was full with people with a guaranteed contract.. that is all
