Jvg said the rockets, a team noone is talking about , doing well. guess that's some national coverage compared to no games being televised.
I knew he was going to mention the Rockets as soon as he said "and you know who's quietly having a great year"

If the Lakers lose tonight, we'll have a better record than them. And they've had, what, at least 15 games on national TV so far? smh.
Love JVG. I've had issues with some of the things he did as a coach. But as an announcer and a person always love the guy. Although I am surprised he still has attachment to the team. With Hayes gone there's no one left from his coaching days. I guess he still feels sentimental to the last team he coached even with all the supposed bad blood from his departure.
Of course. But Adelman as a signing prior to 2005 would be better. He would have developed offensive players. JVG would have inherited a wide range of arsenals. Chuck wouldn't have developed though.
I assume he still has a home here in Houston, he and his family come to eat at the restaurant a lot. I've served him 3-4 times, pretty funny guy. Has pretty dry humor and we've talked about basketball a few times too. Wish he could replace one or two of our announcers *cough* but I doubt he'd permanently sign as a commentator before he got another head coach position.
No worries, dude is still just bitter he couldn't piggyback his way to a ring with us... that and Yao making him kiss a donkey's ass.
I thought it more of a contract issue. Like he took less money to let the team bring in Quitten and then then Les and Dawson sort of screwed him afterwards.
JVG will always take any chance to praise the Rockets, love that he keeps us in the national conversation especially since none of the players from his team are here anymore.
He doesn't mention us just because he's still attached to Houston from his coaching days. He's just the only one who doesn't completely ignore us in the media.
