Hawks made a run when Melo dominated the ball. Knicks made a run when Melo was on the bench. Not a coincidence I guess?

    Not a coincidence at all.
Melo still has more shot attempts than points.
No free throws means he's not even taking the ball to the rim.

Novak's shot is as pure as the water in Lake Minnetonka.

They are putting a show out there now. We can almost say goodbye to the pick now.

Glad Novak gets some play time, his threes are just great.

Chill out Melo fans. Did you see how the 3rd quarter end? The lead shrank to 15 when Melo kept shooting the ball. And then Novak came in. Lin and Novak made consecutive baskets to close the quarter.

so what they were shots in the flow of the offense, and that has nothing to do with ATL finally making some shots. people are just looking for anything to bash the guy

Not really. I loved Melo when he was in Denver.
He sucked ever since he came to NYK.

They paid superstar money for someone that barely plays all-star level.

you guys act like there is no such thing as chemistry and he should automatically fit in seamlessly. the team last year was injured all the time after the trade, this year the roster is completely revamped, and only JUST NOW getting everyone together and healthy.

Lin-Fields-Novak-Jeffries-Chandler chemistry was off the charts. You'll give Melo a pass for two seasons when these guys got it done with a few days?

anthony is just now getting to play in this offense with a true PG. he was playing point forward before lin, obviously not his forte, then was injured when lin began to start games.
    get off his dick

quit hating...he didnt play for a couple of weeks. even superstars get rusty.

i watched the entire game he played within the flow of the offense. he took at most 2 bad shots. if he keeps playing like he did this game his shots will fall and the knicks will be dangerous.

also, baron davis putting on a show despite lots of rust.

also...mcgrady was the only hawk who could get anything going at all...and he gets taken out for the rest of the game.

    clearly in the coachs doghouse

Can't really believe the hate for Anthony. Next to Kobe since 2002 the guy is the best hammer in the game. Nobody save Kobe closes games like Anthony. Not Lebron, not Dirk, not D. Wade.

Come playoff time, and NY will be measured on how they fare in the playoffs, the Knicks will rely on Anthony because playoff basketball is different from regular season basketball. Last year Denver fans and the media can caught up in thinking that they improved after the Anthony trade. As I said at the time, wake me when you win a playoff series. They had a nice record but in the playoffs they got bounced in 5 games and probably should have been swept. Their problem was when the game was close they didn't have a closer who could get clutch baskets against tight defense. They traded that guy to NY for a bunch of guys who couldn't get off their shots against playoff caliber defense.

Fans can fall into the hype of NY is worse off with Anthony, but come the playoff when there is less than 5 minutes left in a close game D'Antoni will ride Carmelo because the guy is arguably the most talented scorer in the NBA and he can get his shot off against anyone. Those are the types of guys who win you series, not Danilo Gallinari's of the world.

The Knicks are 5th in defensive efficiency and 23rd in offensive efficiency.

That's unexpected. At least, the first part.
