No, I get where he's coming from. An obese colleague used to break a sweat whenever we walked more than a couple of blocks for lunch. In the same weather conditions and distance, ever since he and I started working out together (and taking the stairs instead of the elevator), he does not sweat anymore. Everyone sweats for different reasons, but I think fitness has a substantial effect.
This. I had the same issue, tried nearly every anti-per spirant out there until I found this stuff. Put it on before bed and then just use regular deoderant in the mornings. It will work. You can find it at CVS. http://www.certaindri.com
Me and my girlfriend both had problems with sweating. I had a friend who used to sweat dinner plates and it was embarassing. Ask your doctor for aluminum chloride for sweating. It stopped my friends sweating. My girlfriend and I put it on twice before night and we havent sweat in a month. Thing is a miracle. I don't have to wear black anymore.
http://www.amazon.com/Gillette-Clin...-Ounce/dp/B001F51QJ8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Gillette Clinical Strength Anti Perspirant. I use that occasionally. However, don't put on too much or your sweat glands will get blocked and then you'll have a different type of problem .
Take your shirt off once you get to work. Put it on when you're about to go home. Dry shirt. You're welcome.
Speed Stick Stainguard is what I use. It is a strong anti-perspirant and leaves almost no stains. I tried using one that was cotton based and it was great but probably better suited for someone who sweats less. I tried this one from every man jack and it did a pretty decent job. http://everymanjack.com/categories/body/deodorant/
Yeah i was kidding. I get it, being in better shape allows you heat up later than usual because the body isn't working as hard.
You have to buy prescription strength Degree (or similar type deodorant/antiperspirant with medicine in it). Throw away those old undershirt with the caked up pit stains because they make you sweat more (it has been clinically proven).
Find the right deo, the difference between certain labels is huge. I have deos from label X and will sweat like hell, then I have deo from label Y and barely sweat, all dry.
I trimmed my pit hairs and bought Certain Dri. We'll see how that works today. Only a half day of work then a half day of the dreaded "team building exercises." I do appreciate all the suggestions. And for what it's worth, I'm 6'4" about 190lbs. Not in good shape, but not obese. But I eat garbage mostly and I'm sure that has something to do with it. I do this with my pants but only because I don't want to wrinkle them.
I bought a few of these last summer when it was so damn hot in Houston and they are great. Feels like you're not even wearing an undershirt. They are pricey though and the color tends to fade pretty quickly.
What once worked for me, is not anymore. I need suggestions. Much like the OP, I will have sweat go through my undershirt and show on whatever shirt I'm wearing on top. I used to be able to just wear the Old Spice Pure Sport and had no issues. Then I started sweating. So I got one of those Axe boxes for X-Mas that came with the Axe Dry deodorant. Garbage. Next I tried the Old Spice Antiperspirant. No good. Any suggestions?
I'm a big sweater too, I'd suggest getting a quiet desk fan, and then Degree. Not the clear crap, the good ol' white chalky stuff. Works like a charm for me, I do "15 swipes" on each pit every morning (7.5 back and forths). Yup, I count. I always wear a Hanes undershirt too, and I replace them every 2-3 months once they start to yellow under the arms. If you sweat through Degree and an undershirt in a normal office setting, you probably need a prescription deodorant. A desk fan really helps me too, I have the $20 Chillout from Amazon and turn it on when I work up a small sweat moving something or if it is humid outside and I walk into work. I usually only need it 15-30 minutes at a time.
Mitchum roll on. It is a pain being a roll on, and you need to let it dry.... but it works extremely well. It is what my wife said that all the runway models were told to use when she was involved 10 years ago.
I use Speed Stick Stain Guard, not sure if the stain guard stuff works because I don't really sweat when wearing it. I ran out a week or so ago and I've been using my wife's Dove. That works too, just as long as I'm carefull to not leave any hair on it. My wife be trippin.
