-dip all your white shirts and undershirts in hot water with Simply Green sprayed in high concentration on the patches themselves. Make sure the shirts stay under water for ~30 minutes. -then follow this with a hot water + OxiClean immersion for another 30 minutes. -finally, wash your all your white shirts/undershirts in warm or cold water like normal. -before putting them in the dryer, make sure the pit stains have disappeared otherwise the heat will make them permanent. Ever since I started eating healthier, exercising more frequently, using aluminum-free deodorants like Tom's of Maine, I don't have this problem anymore. As a last resort, consider Botox. Several of my friends have gotten Botox treatment for underarm sweating where they get it replenished every 6 months. It costs about $1000/arm, and they don't sweat through their arm pits anymore.
Depends on how old the stains are. Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide works okay for pit and collar stains. If the shirts have been washed in hot water and tumble dried repeatedly, you're SOL.
Depending on your health insurance carrier, it could be deemed medically necessary. If you get that clearance, all you pay is your co-pay and a very small portion of the cost. $1,000 an arm down to about $50 per arm. It lasts anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on your body and how much you sweat (Hyperhidrosis).
Thnx, will try. Never knew it was the deodorant causing it. Anyone have a list of aluminum free ones? I cant stand anything that smells too strong and takes away from the smell of my cologne though..
I had the same reservations, but I was told otherwise by two dermatologists. If there are any qualified health-care providers, I'd love to hear why this shouldn't be done. http://www.webmd.com/healthy-beauty/news/20050726/botox-injections-fight-underarm-sweat http://www.botoxseveresweating.com/
wear a white underarmour shirt as your undershirt. i know someone who sweats pretty profusely and he swears by underarmour
like someone said earlier, yellow stains are from the aluminum chloride in the anti-antiperspirants. I use clear deodorant, but i dont sweat much indoors.
Could be nerves...that seems to happen to me. If I feel the slightest bit of anxiety, even if I consciously don't recognize it, I start to sweat under the arms. And I use an anti-antiperspirant. I pretty much just accept it and try not to care.
I think if you work out and practice sports, it helps as well. Not sure why, but this is my observation. Seems like you sweat then, and not when you sit in the office, when you do that.
