I sweat too much. I work in an office spending 90% of my time in front of a computer, doing no strenuous activity... yet I get these massive pit stains. Through my undershirt and my button-up shirt in a couple of hours. How does this happen? I use deordorant - a lot of deodorant. I need some advice on how to stop this. Any suggested deodorants or anything else I should do?
I used to sweat quite a bit too there. Even with an undershirt it would show up. I started using Old Spice High Endurance "Pure Sport" and it's been gone ever since.
I agree with shaving, or just trimming with clippers. Also, give your pits some breathing room from time to time. Sitting with your arms pressed against your body all day while typing will get you some pit stains.
I get hot very easily, so I keep a small fan at my desk. Maybe try that? If not, you can always get Botox injections to keep your armpits from sweating.
That's your problem. You use TOO MUCH deodrant. It's not necessarily the sweat that gives you the stains but a mixture of too much deodrant mixed with the sweat. Ease up on the deodrant and try not to be so hairy.
I was wondering about this. My white shirts are ruined with pit stains all the time. What can i use to get rid of them?
You can't stop from sweating but you can help your body out a bit: stop using so much deodorant (I was about to say that but Asian beat me to it) and you won't have so many chemicals remaining on your shirt when they dry. Try to use an undershirt that blocks the stains from your main polo or dress shirt, and lift your arms plenty of times to let air in. Stay .
Really? No way, they have to have some kind of spray or some ****. I mean, they make tons of crazy stuff, but they have no pit stain removal spray or wash?
not just ****ty white t's, but white designer shirts. I never wear undershirts. Uncomfortable for me.
Are we talking about wet sweat stains or those yellow stains? Both? And are you literally using just deodorant? Then you need an anti-perspirant. A pure deodorant is like cologne for your armpits. An anti-perspirant contains aluminum to contain sweating. However, pure deo shouldnt leave yellow stains, but anti-perspirants will...to minimize it use the the one with the lowest concentration of aluminum. I know theres one anti-perspirant that claims not to leave any yellow marks, but i havent tried it.
i use certain dri roll on stuff. put it on before bed lasts 3-4 days. completely stops 90% of my sweat. even when im working out. i still wear normal good smelling deodorant too.
Since I started using this stuff, the yellow stains have totally disappeared from my undershirts. I also don't sweat as much, but that went along with my weight loss last year. And the fact that my new office is kept at about 65 degrees...
Then what WTF are we doing?!? Lets call for our inner Bill Mays and create some damn pit stain removal spray! PitAWAY!
I use whatever Right Guard spray is cheapest at the time. I know the one I usually get is an antiperspirant, but I don't know if they all are. I'll have to start paying an extra dollar to get the one that actually works, I suppose. I wasn't talking about yellow stains so much as just the amount of pit sweat in general. Looks like someone took a piss on me while my arms were stretched out. I will definitely trim. I might shave completely. And I'll look into the Certain Dri and Old Spice High Endurance "Pure Sport" - and using less of deodorant in general.
