Well well well. Denver finally won a close game tonight. They really needed this one after the last two. Not only did Nene and Rudy Fernandez miss, they overcame Ty Lawson's injury and Andre Miller's ejection.
And Ricky Rubio with another bad shootin performance. I became a big fan after watching him extensively the first 10-15 games, but he's either regressed to his true talent level (shooting wise) or teams have adjusted how they defend him. Even his assist totals have been consistently dropping. After tonite Rubio will be below 38% fg for the season.
Now that teams have had a chance to get a good look at him, we'll find out what Rubio brings to the table as a rookie. He's a unique player who marches to a different drummer and that worked big-time to his advantage. His performance after the All-Star break will be telling. He might have more tricks up his sleeve.
