Deron Williams already 7/12 from downtown, is he stepping it up because he wants to prove he's still elite and Lin is his b**** ?
You just gotta have more than one shooter on the floor to run that Dantoni offense. It's not very creative, guys basically just stand around and wait for the open jumper created by the PG. The problem is, if you don't move guys around on offense then everyone not involve in the PnR is just a set shooter. In this case, Steve Novak or JR Smith is more useful than either Carmelo Anthony or Amare Stoudemire. Seriously, with Melo, Amare, Lin and Chandler on the court at the same time you can just park 4 guys near the paint and easily deny inside shots.
Worst they have an off day tuesday, so they will be talking about it nonstop tommorow too. Whether its true or not, fair or unfair, the perception will be that having Melo on the court completely changed the way the rest of the team plays. Him having a horrible shooting game with 6to's along with the loss will definitely fuel the criticism. Asides from him forcing a few shots, committing the stupid tech and being rusty, I actually thought he was playing within the offense.
Durant follows up his crazy efficient 51 point outburst last nite with a only 31 points on 10-19 fg 3-7 from three and 8-9 ft along with 4 assists. Westbrook not one to be outdone, also scored 31 points 10-20 fg 2-3 threes 9-10 ft along with 4 assists and 5to's. These two are seriously challenging Wade and Lebron as the top duo in the league.
Jefferson got mauled on that play and no call but the league wants Spurs to keep their win streak alive so there you go.
