I see by your name you're a big fan Nas probably has mad respect for Tupac, but Nas also knows he is great. To be great, you have to revere the older greats, but it doesn't make sense to seat yourself beneath them. That doesn't lend itself to progress it takes some cautious cockiness which is summed up as confidence confidence without caution is cockiness
Nasty Nas and Tupac is extremely close. Common's fart have more lyrical complexity than Drake. Rakim > Everyone...
Nas and AZ Are my second favorite duo but I dont think they are better than big and pac..they right there tho..

A lot of "rap" today is being produced just to get people to dance. If you're at a club listening to music, most people are not going to stop in the middle of dancing in think "hey, that is not really meaningful." That said, as a fan of the genre and an amateur rapper I do prefer more meaningful music, which is readily available, if you know where to look.
You rap? Thats whats up.. I'm learning how to be a producer.. Maybe in a week or two I'm gonna make some beats..
I'm learning how to read music and play piano by ear as well, with hopes of producing my own beats but I'm a long ways away. Would you let me use your beats? Would be much appreciated, email me through the board if you're interested.
Tell me to go, I rhyme like a pro Go to the show Your girls like "Hello!" I say "hell no" Hit her with the elbow Landed a low blow She's immunocomprimised so she heals slow Better seek some medical attention yo
today's rap is about beats and chorus not good lyrics. People just waitin' for the rappin' to end so they can start bouncin' to the beats when the chorus begins.

Weird...I was just talking to my friend about this matter. I was asking him whether rap has been declining or was it that my taste were maturing and were trying to listen something with more substance. But never in the span from 2000 to 2008 which I consider to be my youth have I ever been disgusted at the majority. Today I heard Tyga, Travis Porter, Machine Gun Kelly, and Weezy/Drake. All of that was garbage. Not one good song. The saddest part is the South. Young Jezzy, T.I., Gucci Mane, etc are terrible. I really thought soul hip-hop was never coming back since Outkast went on hiatus. That being said Friday I'm going to see the only man that I believe can save southern hip-hop for me. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/B9KiXVom3H0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> You can hear in Big KRIT that he grew up listening to Outkast, UGK, 8Ball and MJG, and Three 6 Mafia. But anybody looking for good hip-hop look here's a couple. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FauIovagTuM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HH9vR_iJOqU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/45W3iu08jhQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fEK4FttsCTM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/un1kvM0Pd1Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
