Dine-In line was out the door. Drive thru line had 30+ cars the whole day.

I live 2 seconds away and drove by a few times. It better be worth it. I want to try it before I leave for school on Monday.

I thought Carl Jr & Hardees (which we already had plenty of in Houston) were the same thing, just different names for different regions?

What exactly is your definition of "plenty"? Is it ZERO? because that is how many Hardees are in Houston

Just remember if you go to Carl's Jr..you are feeding Carl Karcher's wallet.....a nutcase extreme Repulican with anti-Jew, Anti-Gay and Anti-aboration views. This guy is basically a Nazi.

But they do have damn good burgers....been there in SOCO.

BUT...not as good as In & Out.......

How come we can't get a Steak 'N Shake in Houston? I ate at one in Missouri and it was pretty damn good.

There are two in Houston that I know of. I eat at the 1960 and Eldridge location every month or so. There is one out in Katy as well.

My wife's friend came over last night and she brought Carl's Jr for us. She waited in the drive thru line last night for 1 hour. She went at like 6. I went the night before at like 11 pm the drive thru line was sick so I just went inside. There was only like 4 people in line inside so it was really quick.

Steak 'n Shake came to Dallas a few years ago with a bunch of fanfare from the usual out-of-towners that said "oh, it's the greatest burger ever! we have 'em back home!" I've tried it 2 or 3 times now, and it's decent, but as usual, didn't live up to all the hype. I'm guessing this is what In 'N Out will end up being when it opens here. I'm sure the lines will be 3 miles long, so I'll probably just have to wait a month or so to get mine.

I've only eaten a burger at Braum's once. I honestly don't remember if it was good or bad. I need to try it again soon. Lots of people up here like it, though.

I don't eat this sort of stuff anymore, but given the excitement about the ones on Hwy 6, I thought people might like to know that they are in the process of opening one of these at Ella and 610. It looks pretty close to opening.

I also assume thid means mor of them will be opening elsewhere.

Where at exactly? There's a TON of construction under the freeway by the KFC, across from the Exxon.

Working from memory, as I am on the other side of town, but it is north of 610, across the street from KFC on the west side Ella. It is maybe 2 or 3 lots north of 610.
