Keep in mind though that the vast majority of Dream's playing time was prior to 9/11 and only played one season, in Toronto in the twilight of his career after 9/11. This was prior to the outcry over things like the Ground Zero Mosque. Also I recall criticism even here on Clutchfans in the last 10 years of supposed ties between Olajuwon and terrorist organizations through his charities.
Who cares, it's not like he's shoving it in people's faces, he just says it when he gets interviewed. I'm an agnostic, and don't like it when athletes shove too much religion in your face, but i have no problem with what Lin is going. Though I have to say, I get annoyed when MMA fighters do it on post fight interviews when they just smashed some guy's face into a bloody pulp.
