Pancakes shooting **** out of his ass again.

Guess he didn't learn his lesson from last offseason. Stop talking about things you know nothing about (ie NFL salary cap).

They'll have to restructure the entire team to get Joseph or Asomugha! ;)

It is possible the Texans are limited by the cap this year for sure, but not limited to such an extent that they can't sign anyone.

McClain doesn't know anything about how the cap works and he never has. It's not his fault though. The Texans in their existence prior to last year REALLY put out the cap company line. They were always maxed out to the cap (or close to it) despite never signing free agents of note and they used the cap excuse every year.

Anyway, one person who should be worried about his job is Demeco.

Yeah, if I were him I'd be a possessed man this offseason trying to get back to my old form.

Achilles injuries generally take a couple seasons to fully heal.(some never do) Hopefully he'll restructure his contract, to stay with the team. But, if he's hell bent on being payed the same, I won't be mad if the Texans let him go.

Chiefs signed Routt, per Jason La Canfora.

This likely means that Brandon Carr will hit the market. I'd love to make a run at him if Mario doesn't pan out, and would even think about letting Myers walk if it means we get Carr.

Tough call though. Hate to lose Mario for nothing and o-line continuity is vital. But it's much easier to replace OLB and C through the draft than CB, as we have seen.

Im not so sure about that... A great pass rush often gives the secondary the illusion of being decent... I'm not saying just plug in anyone but I think if we keep Mario and he brings that ferocious pass rush, then it will enable our present CB's to play more aggressively via jumping routes....Something rarely seen prior to Joseph's arrival..

True, but our pass rush was downright dominant last year without Mario and we still had trouble with Allen/Kareem. If we can replicate that again and put a solid vet on the other side of Joseph, in the words of Cuttino Mobley, "it's over".

I'm not saying Mario won't be beast in this system if healthy, but the dropoff from him to Reed is much smaller than say Carr to Kareem.

Like I said, Reed is serviceable. 22m not worth Mario

Surprised Houston had an offer on the table for him. I wonder how significant it was. It's going to be an interesting off-season...
