Now I see Morey wasn't the only one who wanted Pau.

Why would the Lakers want Boozer?

The Lakers would be INSANE to do this deal.

Maybe if the Bulls throw in a couple of picks.

No way. Lakers aren't stupid. This trade would be robbery for the Bulls.

i guess the thought process is for boozer to be the third option and be comfortable, while pau can be the second option where he is comfortable, and on top of that the lakers get a legit backup pg but i just dont see kobe wanting to play with boozer, especially if bynum gets hurt again, however bulls become legit.

there was that kobe for deng trade proposal from a few years ago. kobe would only agree to a trade to chicago if deng stayed with the bulls.

so it's more likely gasol for deng, gibosn, and watson?

I agree. I don't think Pau and Bynum rub off each other that well and I think that the Lakers might want to start looking at the future instead of holding on to Pau.
    Boozer+ 2 1st rounders +cash for Pau

    Classic....

They go from having a 7 footer PF to an undersized acne guy.

    Sounds more realistic to me.

Remember, the Lakers will be substantially over the luxury tax line in the foreseeable future with Kobe, Bynum and Pau. So, I'd imagine part of the calculation would be to bring in not only younger and more athletic, but also cheaper pieces (they do have a lot of revenue, but the Lakers did just let Lamar Odom and his salary go for nothing, so it seems $ is part of the equation).

Not sure they want Boozer's contract. Deng's is a little more reasonable.

Well, actually Boozer is more suitable for Lakers than Gasol, since Boozer definitely can spread the floor better and that opens up both Bynum and Kobe.
Both Gasol and Bynum are post players, they don't click.

I don't see Lakers doing this trade straight though. If they also get Deng for MWP, it's not a bad trade. They may even pick up C.J.Watson. Most backup PGs in the league are better than Fisher/Blake.

Rose is getting desperate early on...he wants to win NOW, which is good i suppose, but he needs to be careful. This could hurt team chemistry and backfire. Unfortunately the bulls aren't in a position to be swinging trades like this.

He'd make a tidier trade. Both teams acquire desired players. Exchange bad contracts. Same money, same positions.

He's 26. He was their franchise player before Rose came along.

Didn't really follow the bulls much until they had a run with Rose last year. I always had a perception of him being in his 30s because of how old he looks and how mature his game is.
