I suggested this park also. I go there every week. We like to call it " el hoyo" or the hole ,nice park . During the evenings a lot of yoga classes are there. During the night some potheads gather round the "wooded" area.it looks completely different during the day...

I use Memorial to get out of downtown every evening and that place is packed.

I've always wanted to play there. I think the games are serious there though.

I stepped foot on there one time I believe, early in the decade and it was slippery. They never took care of the court, but with the resurgence of Washington Ave, I guess they take better care of it.

Nah, that court is still slippery.
Should all come to the south side, I know quite a few courts that aren't slippery
and not overwhelmed by people on sat afternoons.

Got a court nobody knows about off the beltway with a cover, adjustable rims, and line parameters. It's Gucci.

I'm perfectly fine with trying a new court, but the only thing I really dislike about Pin Oak is that there is no cover. During the summer it is brutal. But the goals are well kempt for the most part and the courts aren't slippery.

    Let's set something up then.
Are people down to drive to@ beltway 8 and 45 south?
I'll pop in on that court today and take some pictures.

That's not too crazy far for me, I'd be willing to drive there. I'm thinking a solid new location is just what Clutchfans pick-up basketball needs.

I have no problem with that location. That's closer to me than Pin Oak.

    Cool guys.
I've been busy with school so I haven't been able to upload the photos.

It looks like we already have 6-7 (including me+1)
I get out of class at 4 pm on Sat.
Can get there at 4:20 or so.

Edit: head down 45 S, get on beltway going east.
Get off on the last free exit crenshaw etc., it's on your right after the first or second light.
    Clearpoint Church.

    Here are the pics

Nice pics, thanks for sharing. I'd be down for playing there, especially during the summer time.

What's up with the loading dock? And that bbq pit seems big enough for a 50 man feast!

no, it's probably about 45 min. It's 2 miles east from where 45 s and the beltway meet
