    Kevin Durant scores 51 points
    Westbrook scores 40
(btw, when was the last time two players scored at least 40)
AND ibaka had a tripple double with 14 points, 15 reb, and 11 blocks

3 players had amazing games, and yet they only beat a starless denver team by 6...in OT.

smh, i like the thunder, but thats ridiculous.

The reason is because they don't have Lin.

    Not enough.

Yeah, no Nene, no Gallo and no Wilson Chandler (who is probably coming back to Denver)

And add the Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose combo in 2000, which was a finals team, didnt win it all though!

They still won the game, and ultimately, that's all that matters. In the playoffs, performances like that will go far.

Ibaka is probably the person with the best chances to get a quadruple double in this league.

Kobe and Shaq did the 40/40 in 2001 IIRC.

    Really?

You realize that would require him to net 10 steals or 10 assists in 1 game.
His career average for steals is 0.4 and for assists is 0.3, his career high for steals or assists in a game is 2, and for the season he only has 16 assists and 14 steals.

    Sigh.

Lin would be lucky to ever get just a triple double. He has averaged ~4 reb and ~2.5 steals per game.

Then lets say he does that, only 3 players in 30 years have managed even those quadruple-combo and none since Jason Kidd in 2000.

(Josh Smith was close this year...)

    Points/Rebounds/Steals/Assists/Blocks

Smith is a quintuple(?) double threat...

    dude. give it up.

that was a great accomplishment , why do you want to diminish it?

"OldFan", I know the 95 Rockets had some crappy loses to crap teams. It happens, it's a long season. It's the NBA, nobody is going 82-0, in this case 66-0.

They could win it all, but they still lack a low post scorer and when the playoffs begin the officiating is more even when you play teams like Miami and Chicago especially. I think that KD is ready, but I don't think that Westbrook has made the leap he needs to: ala scottie pippen. But I do feel that KD is the best player on the planet right now.

We DEFINITELY shouldn't ever use the amount of Jeremy Lin threads as a standard for anything... ever...

Didn't notice that, he has less assists than I would imagine.
