Either Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, or Derrick Rose.

With Steve Nash, Tony Parker, and Deron Williams following.

WHAT? A discussion of the best PG in the league with no Lin? This poll is void.

I understand you have the Lin fever and yes he deserves credit for what he has done so far, but he only has played 8 games

What's his record as a starter?

What was the Knicks' record before the Nets game where Lin came in?

Lin HAS to be in the discussion right now.

Tony Parker should be on this list, All Star with 3 rings and still putting up good numbers. Not saying he is the best, but deserves a name on this list in front of the others.

No he doesn't. He has plenty more to prove still. If he keeps it up all year then he is in the discussion.

What else does he have left to prove? He's averaging something like 25 and 9. He's hit a game-winner, not to mention he's one of the league leaders in 4Q points, I believe. So we know he's clutch.

He took a bottom-feeder Eastern Conference team and made them relevant in the East again, with many of his starts not including Anthony and Stoudemire.

If you watch the Knicks offense, its completely stagnant and flat while he's out of the game.

I get that he needs to play more games, to increase the sample size, but right now, he's playing like he's the best PG on the NBA.

^ Before I get dumped on, I'm not saying that he IS the best PG. But he's averaging MVP type numbers in his starts, though he does need to work on his TOs.

The best PG in the league right now is CP3, followed slightly behind by DRose. Deron is still No. 3. All three of them have way better floor game than Westbrook at this point.

And please don't put Jeremy Lin in this conversation. He's getting way over-hyped with all this linsanity.

I'll go with Kobe when he says these 2 guys are the only players in the League he considers his equal from a competitive fire/will to improve their games and win standpoint

    3. Rondo - for all the flak he gets for not having a jumper, he still shoots 50% overall, it makes his ability to get in the paint even more amazing when defenders are always sagging off him; a one man fast break and elite defender; only knock is his FT shooting

    4. DWill - lost some luster with his uninspired play early this year, but looks to be picking it up lately

    5. Nash - multiple seasons of 50/40/90 speaks for itself; only this low because he's a sieve on the defensive end

    6. Lowry - Rondo with a 3 pt shot but less court vision and speed.

N/A - Westbrook's about as much a PG as Steve Francis was. Hyper-athletic shooting guard stuck in a PG's body.

Oops forgot Parker, wasn't in the poll. I'll put him between DWill and Nash.

not really... the year cp3 was injured for the hornets and when dwill ripped it up for the jazz in the playoffs... he was at that point, considered the best

    - and like i said earlier... he is turning it up now

That's a real tough question but odds are no. I think you have to put Rondo, DWill, Rose, Westbrook, Parker, Lowry, Nash and CP3 ahead of him. Then you have players like Curry, Jennings, Lawson, Rubio, Irving, and Wall. Who out of those guys would you trade Lin for?

I think Rubio, Irving, and Wall have more upside. I'd probably take Lin over Curry, Jennings, and Lawson though.
