The wealthy benefit more from the police, military, regulated banks and stock markets, and publicly-funded estate, probate and administrative courts. Poor people have limited use for air traffic controllers or 8-lane freeways.

do you not realize how much dinner at the white house would be? Outside of top quality ingredients, chef's, waiters/servers....it all adds up. Its almost laughable that you single out obama for this as I'd imagine every single president lives well and all the republicans are millionaires too...I don't get it, do you want them all to give away their money and success/ isn't that the right's thing that there are rich and poor etc and people deserve to spend their wealth? I really don't get the point other than showing the OP doesn't seem very intelligent if this is supposed convince someone of something

Yep, jet-setting First Lady kicking off luxurious 17-day HI vacation a few days early at the expense of hard-working, loyal taxpayers... all while ripping the 1% and promoting "sacrifice."

Open your eyes and maybe you'll see the hypocrisy. Otherwise, just aimlessly wander back out to pasture, sheep.

 

People at the top can sacrifice a little and still not have a major change in their standard of living. Just like if you're willing to lower your standard of living by 10%, you can probably double the standard of living of an entire 3rd world family.

Obama is saying let's get the top 1% to lower their standard of living by a small amount, and it will help increase the standard of living of 99% Americans quite a bit.

Maybe you should internalize that thought before you called others "sheep".

 

Where have they ripped the 1%? I believe the Obamas are huge fans of the 1% spending money because it helps the 99%. All they ask is that they pay higher taxes - and they are asking the country to raise taxes on them too.

I'm with MW on this one. Just open your eyes to all the Liberal hypocrisy around you. Did you commies even know that Al Gore has a house that is larger and more luxurious than a hand-dug cave underneath the roots of a tree? Plus, he occasionally uses airplanes instead of an ox cart. Such hypocrisy is almost unimaginable.

As clearly stated in this thread, Obama is much, much worse. Obviously, the only option is for the Republican Party to become even more conservative and contrasting in their rhetoric as this will surely wake up the American populace and allow them to see that the Conservative way is the Right way!
