So this girl wants to be a male cheerleader. Why don't the aggs just have cheerleaders? http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/2012/02/is-there-room-at-am-for-a-female-yell-leader/
Only reason I never even thought to apply to this school, all those traditions at some point just get crammed in your face. Just point me to the computer lab and leave me lone.
You understand that you could have just gone to the computer lab and been left alone, right? Don't use your misconceptions as a crutch.
I don't know how much of a misconception it is. You lose twelve kids building a timber fort at two in the damn morning then spend the next ten years fighting to relive the experience, your school is freaking nuts.
Nothing new here . . .she runs . .. she wins or she loses. *shrug* A nice young lady ran back in the early nineties [I think the same year the first black yell leader was elected] she was Female and Black. She had a man that could be contracted to a boy sounding name I asked her why do it that way . . . she simple smiled and said . . . winning is not necessarily the point she wanted to win as a WOMAN I could respect that . My point is .. .what makes this lady's run so special? Seems like some folx have a routing interest in applying external pressure on something so trivial as electing yell leaders. why? Who knows .. . maybe ole girl has some friends in high places and would like to get this 1st on her resume Maybe folx just wanna throw stones at A&M It is an elected position . . . she campaigns. . .she wins . . . then she wins if she does not . . . she doesn't . . . . It is not a stain on the school or the people there. . . . it was a popularity contest and she just didn't make herself popular enough Rocket River
Yeah so what are you talking about relive the experience? Are you against the memorial? Also you could always be a 2 percenters.
the sec should have made them get rid of the male yell leaders. Traditions? like no longer wanting to play a game that's been played since coca cola was first being bottled. pssh traditions.
Really, after your student conference the choice is completely up to you on how much of the aggie crap you subject yourself to. Just like almost any school, it's up to you on how your experience goes. Believe me, I go to the school and I think all that stuff is ridiculous, but it's really easy to not get caught up in the Aggie hooplah if you have no interest.
Very true. Silver Taps was a good tradition. MidNight Yell was not bad . . . . beyond that . . .the tradition of selling your UT game tickets for more than the whole sports pass . . . sad to see that tradition go Rocket River
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to pouhe again. Folks be trippin'. According to Google Image (spoilered for cuteness): Spoiler Have no idea what she's goin' for in the last picture, but she's got my vote.
yeah, that is true. but you know what they think about 2 percenters? they're looked down upon its difficult to go to a place where there's absolutely nothing to do besides the traditions and then you're looked down upon for not partaking. thats bull****
