I went to Kings opening night vs. the Lakers. Two observations: 1. When Hayes was doing the opening speech (Thanks fans, let's have a great season, blah blah) I realized they clearly ONLY signed Hayes cause he's the only person on the team who can string together complete sentences. 2. Fans are crazy over Jimmer. Lines were long to buy his merchandise, talking to my friends who are season ticket holders, they all really had high expectations for Jimmer. I don't see how he's ever going to live up to it.
They dont have a role for him. Tyreke, Thornton and Cousins mostly control the ball. I dont get why they traded Martin to sign Thornton. Martin would have been the perfect off guard to compliment Evans. Oh well.
What. I think you're in the wrong thread. Unless you're trolling using some Jimmer/Jeremy stuff, if so, 0/10 I ain't even mad.
I think he has the same career path as Reddick is having. He'll be a solid role player in a couple years.
Rubio has no potential to get better. Like Scola he's good now and he'll continue to be good but he's not going to be anything more than Rondo-lite.
He's like a Steve Kerr type. Needs to be in the right situation where he has other good defenders to make up for his defensive deficiencies and other people who can create a shot so he'll be wide open for the shot.
Jimmer has limited upside and isn't going to be very good. He will be a niche player and won't crack a regular playing rotation. That said, let's give the guy until next season.
To me this guy is a whiter, shorter Jamal Crawford. It took awhile for people to realize Crawford isn't a 1 and hopefully it doesn't take that long with Jimmer. Ideally, he's a guy who plays 30 minutes off the bench and is your first option in your second unit. That way he can play a little of 1/2 and it's no biggie.
