Did Nola score in the last two possessions? No.

That Adelman defense was stifling tonight.

Rick the Rulers team didn't look too bad tonight. Yes having Love and Peckovic helps which poses another concern about the offense. It is absolutely obvious who is the better coach here. The Wolves tonight looked very fluid kind of like last year's rockets! plus better D! go figure.... while the Rockets have seemed to reverted back to the JVG days of ugly, stagnant, grind it out kind style of basketball. Problem is, NO TMAC, NO YAO! Not one current personnel on this roster is capable of making this kind offensive strategy work unless they can become a prolific scorer that Houston once had. We actually had two which is kind of sad. Whatever Mchale is doing , he better fix it fast because this team is running on luck and doomed for another sub par season.

Every single score looks ridiculously difficult under this system.

His defense looks great because we have no post player, option that commands a double team. Scola used to be able to do that and now he sucks ***. With no one in the post we have to rely on jump shooting.

Mchale needs to steal RA's playbook. 4th quarter against minny had 5 short guys runnin around aimlessly on defence AND offense.

My theory is he was actually declining one or two seasons ago. He just had that good fit in Adelman's system that made his stats look nice.

Seriously, Scola's spin move looks like it's in slow motion this year. He isn't faking anyone out anymore. He looks like a a man that's still a relentless warrior inside but his body has given up on him. Frustration is written all over his face, Poor guy.

He has a point though. McHale made us overachieve just as Adelman did without a good start.

Our bench has mediocre to slight above mediocre talent level

but our starting five have below average talent level because of inconsistent production

Under Adelman we still had seasons with Artest, Yao, Tmac, Deke good players or specialists who were doing things great in one department and consistently.

It didn't look good in crunch time.

Artest and Deke. You just named two of the best defenders of all time.

How can it when you have no one in the post to give the ball to and space the floor?

It ain't that simple. I wasn't trying to discredit Mchale at all. You have to look at the roster Adelman has to work with this year versus what Mchale has left. Its unfair to go by that statistic alone. We simply had no solution in stopping Love or Pec. Mchale needs to find a way to create easier baskets for this squad.

Houston Deke was not a top notch defender. Average to above-average at best.
