Yeah, agree completely. toycen believes what he posts and for the most part is trying in a limited way to share ideas and have some type of conversation. Still a conversation that might make you want to cross the street... but... an attempt.
No one has really mentioned what was revealed in Santorum's tax returns. It's been years since he held the position of Senator and claims he has no investments but somehow brings in big money. Wonder how? I smell a lobbyist steeping in the pot.
Ron Paul wins Hancock county in Maine over Romney by 25 votes. Paul 41 Santorum 17 Romney 16 Gingrich 9 It remains to be seen how many people show up in Washington County. If 600+ voters show up, Paul has a chance to take this from Romney....
Let's face it libertarians and conservatives support a great deal of inequality. It is a non issue. Billionaires and homeless. We wouldn't want to tax the billionaires more or at all if it could provide homes for the homeless. For conservatives, they also believe Jesus would want this. Real libertarians view Jesus as just another statist.

I agree with an earlier post, non-issue. I believe in income inequality. I believe if someone works harder and longer than another they should make more. I believe when an invested risks his money he should be rewarded. I don't believe, however, in the system that's taken root in America in the last 40 some odd years. I don't believe I should pay a higher tax rate on the 110 grand I worked my ass off this year than Mitt Romney does because his came from investments. I don't believe that CEOs should make 500 times that of their employees.
The bigger issue is that I understand math. The Ron Paul people have posted the corrected results from last weekend (still not including caucuses occurring today, of course). Instead of your possible 500 vote lead, you actually now have a bigger deficit. Turns out the non-counting of various counties that did vote was not a big anti-Paul conspiracy: http://www.dailypaul.com/214934/maine-gop-releases-updated-results After looking at the Maine GOP website I noticed that an updated results article has been released to include accurate counts of towns like Belfast and other towns in Waldo county. The updated results still do not include the Washington County cities. The results show Paul with a wider gap now to Mitt Romney of 239 votes... Mitt Romeny at 2269 (39.03%) and Ron Paul at 2030 (34.92%).
And this would be addressing income inequality. But according to Santorum, by saying this you believe everyone should make the same wage regardless of effort put into your job. He likes to jump to extremes.
Its all over in Maine. Washington County Caucus Results: Paul 163 Romney 80 Santorum 57 Gingrich 4 Paul needed to win this county by ~200 votes. In the end, the Paul people couldn't get enough of their voters out. Romney is going to hold on Maine...
Wow, more Romney votes then I imagined there would be. I'm glad the notion was made to count the votes. Bold move by the Maine GOP but it was something that had to be done to oil the squeaky wheels. Not that I'm saying it'll be squeak-free but it was a step in the right direction. Still not enough to save the republican party in the Pres. Election in November.
