you guys act like the knicks cant be contenders.... they have a stacked roster, or will at full strength. he gets 3.5 times more money he gets to play for a contender he gets to play in a major market to me the only argument is contending in the west is better since its more wide open, in the east the heat and bulls are still top dogs. but if the knicks can gel there is no reason they cant be as good as any team in the league.
Seems a short sighted decision, going with current Linsanity in the Big Appple for immediate spotlight. Though its probably that short sightedness why he went to China in the first place.

Outside of explosive athleticism, they're nothing alike... Smith's a deadly 3-pt shooter (was the most efficient in Denver history), but has been ripped for lack of focus/effort on the defensive end. Shumpert's a defensive menace w/ a hideous jumper. Fields will likely keep his starting role for defensive purposes, but Smith will be a force. Only 26 and already has 7 years of NBA experience under his belt... and was averaging close to 40 PPG in the CBA. He's in his prime. I'm eager to see this lineup: Lin JR Melo STAT Chandler
I'm a big fan of Jeremy Lin, but I have a feeling if the Knicks play the Clips this year, CP3 is going to destroy them.
Not much of a feeling... CP3 is a superstar and has the capability to destroy any team on any given night. And probably outflop too.
