What time does his show come on? I feel like it is after work? I've stumbled on it a few times and have always been disgusted. I heard him recently (again, I'm not 100% sure this was him) talk about black history month and I honestly felt shame for the man.

Apparently one of his good friends, who has been on his show several times, is a drag performer. I don't know if the guy was performing at this event, but it would not be surprising if he was there for the show, if that were the case.

Berry also advocated that someone "blow up" the muslim community center in NYC that caused all sorts of idiotic outcry a few years ago.

    The guy's a jackass.

Pushing this towards D&D, but here we go.

I'm not sure the doorman's statements carry a lot of weight about Berry being anti-gay. I don't think I've ever heard Berry really attack gays, directly or indirectly. But I'm sure someone can provide more info on it.

I know a few, which seems really weird at first, but makes perfect sense. They're really self loathing. They were raised conservative usually and never came to accept the fact that they didn't choose to be gay and think of themselves as unnatural and not deserving equal rights/treatment, etc. It's really sad, but this does happen. They're like the gay version of Uncle Ruckus.

Huh? Where? What article? Again, if he has ACTUALLY said anti-gay things, then put it here, otherwise you are just adding to the trollage.

And by the way, being against 'gay marriage' is NOT the same thing as being 'anti-gay'.

If you're against equal treatment of gays under the law, then yes, you are 'anti-gay'.

Berry has prominently opposed gay marriage. As to the details, I don't know. I don't listen to moralizing douchecanoes on the radio.

That's true, but I don't think I'd consider that type "hardcore gay".

Just googled it....and he's actually on right now. I thought he was on in the afternoons.

Says the show started at 8am. I just logged onto 740 and am listening right now. Right now he's talking about......the Bush tax cuts.....

It's already been addressed, but that position is insane.

Not allowing two gay people who love each other the same rights as two straight people who love each other is absolutely anti-gay. Please put some thought into it.

repped. well thought out, great post

Apparently liberals think it's insulting to be seen at a gay bar? Tolerance, anybody? Wow.

Just goes to show how partisan hatred drives the behavior of many on this board.

Go start another gay marriage thread in the D&D and work it out there. I want to know more about this story.

Not that I have a bone in this fight, but if I support the sanctity of a natural marriage and someone says you are anti-gay, I could rightfully say, not so just pro marriage.

Go back and reread my statement.
    1. I blatently said that I'm unfamiliar with this talk show host since I don't live in Houston.
    2. The article NEVER says he's an anti-gay advocate. It looks to me that The Bouncer, who had never heard of the guy, assumed he was anti-gay because he was a conservative talk show host. The bouncer.
    3. I never said the Gay Republicans I know want to restrict their own civil rights..I know it doesn't fit your ideoligical hatred, but there are PLENTY of conservatives that do NOT want to "restrict civil rights" as you put it. I, for one, believe Gays should have the same marriage, adoption and insurance rights as everyone else - and I know many others that feel the same way.
    4. I'm trying to see the facts in the article, not the hearsay.

What's funny is everyone is harping on the "gay club" aspect and ignoring the true crime....hit and run. My bad, alleged crime (innocent until proven guilty).
