Mrs esteban is an executive(oil&gas), her salary + bonus+ stocks are well over 300k a year. I have a decent O&P practice which brings in on the average of+ 200k a year(profits).

I don't need to lie about my income.We are the poorest amongst our friends!

I have done these medical missions 5 straight years now with my fellow practioners. We have been all over the world replacing the loss of limbs and give our patients a second chance in life. I have done plenty of pro-bono work right here with our wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afganistan. I believe this is the first time that I mentioned my charity work and it will be the last time.

so, let me state at the outset that this should be a complete non-issue. that it is, is completely the fault of liberals/progressives/democrats (take your pick). They made a huge stink over Paul Ryan's bottle of wine (as did many of you here); Obama and the OWS crew have waged war on the "1%," and among other things Obama has lectured americans about frivolous spending, trips to Vegas, etc. so, pot, kettle, goose, gander. get over it, it's politics today, and the blame rests squarely with the folks in the white house.

that said, i spent $100 on lunch today, no alcohol, at Union Square Cafe. bacon wrapped scallops were delicious.

 

Well you have the same misunderstanding that others do. Nobody is waging war on the 1% they are waging war on their lack of taxes while the rest of the nation is asked to give up programs beneficial to them in order to set our finances straight.

But Union Square Cafe is awesome so I'm glad you had a good lunch.

Keith Koffler did his best to gross up the restaurant bill, but if he wanted to actually criticize the president for his spending, I wish he would have just out-and-out lied about the number. This $300 bill is so low for a presidential valentine's day dinner that I'm laughing at Koffler and bigtexxx for bringing it to my attention. A better angle would have been to criticize Obama for being such a cheapskate. 75 bucks a plate? Surely, you can spend more than that on the First Lady!
