If 10 people went to dinner and everyone ordered the same thing. The bill comes out to say $1000 to make it easy. Should the richest guy have to pick up the chunk of the check. He didn't order an extra lobster, or dessert, he had what you had.

Just because he has more money, he should pay more? That just doesn't make sense to me. Does a rich person use more services than a poorer person? Wouldn't it be the opposite?

You don't seem to understand that the refusal to pay the bet isn't about the money. The reason I am not paying it right now is because I don't have the money. The reason I am not paying it at all is because I told jo that if he didn't stfu about it I wasn't paying. I keep my word 50% of the time.

Why should the rich pay for the poor? Why doesn't the government come up with plans to help the poor get jobs, rather than give them welfare and other assistance that can be abused by the lazy.

It's funny how people keep telling me to stfu until I pay the bet, or tell me to stop derailing the thread. I will respond to anyone who has anything to say to me. If you don't like my response, tell them to stop talking to me. I am not the one freaking out over a $50 bet. I am the one standing my ground and saying F U you were a douche about the bet after I was incredible open about the entire thing. In the face of hardships I will not throw $50 away to honor a bet with a guy who was such an ass when I tried to explain to him that I had no money and no job and would have to pay in the future.

While I would probably never spend 300 bucks on a dinner(unless I was somehow a millionaire), There is nothing wrong with someone spending their own money for a nice, romantic dinner on Valentine's Day?
