    Lin definitely has more skill.
Yao had shooting, the rest was from his height and his basketball IQ.

Lin has a legitimate chance to pass him.

Yao for now. not only did yao put up numbers, but he also drew double teams and played good post defense.

I knew this thread was coming and I am still smh at it.

Lin has the potential to surpass him but after 6 games, he still is not close.

Yao was a 20/10+ with 2+ blocks guy and anchored one of the best defenses in the game. It is sad to see his career end the way in which it ended but when healthy, he was easily the best center in the game (Dwight was nowhere near as skilled offensively and got owned constantly head to head). I am sure that both Yao and Lin would answer Yao to this question.

Yao was skilled. I'm just saying that Yao needed less skill to succeed than Lin does. That's why all bigs in the NBA (taller than 7'1) seem ridiculously clumsy.

Everybody compare Chris Paul with Dhoward, Deron Williams to Shaq.
    Nate Robinson to Chuck Hayes.

Not clumsy. When you are 7 feet tall and you are surrounded by all the six footers, it will make you look slow and your ball easily get stolen!

Yao is actually quite fast for his size!
