I'm just using your own words. If you don't stand by them, and don't believe in what you yourself have said, don't blame me.

The same surname would be pronounced Hayashi in Japan.

Yes, they do. Record oppression and a far lesser education, all at the hands of "the white man" = A reasonable explanation for racism. It doesn't make it right, but I understand.
Bingo. CaseyH, your reply is irrelevant to what we are discussing.

    This. Ten times over.

Growing up firmly middle-class in a mostly white suburb, it was easy for my young self to be frustrated at programs like affirmative action, welfare, reparations and other initiatives largely associated with helping minorities (black)... especially when I myself was a minority (not black). It didn't seem to reflect my ingrained sense of fairness, success, etc.

And then I started doing inner-city volunteer work...

Man, how immature that thinking is! And it's amazing that full-grown adults would subscribe to such idiocy! Inner city areas and schools are so lacking and these new generations are so under-served, it's incredible that people are able to pull themselves out of the ghetto in the first place! The older I get and the more I see--I still volunteer in spurts--it's clear that the American life has been anything but fair for its black population and that no amount of reparations can undo the damage of slavery and the ensuing years of racism.

If all of our American ethnic groups were running a marathon of progress, if you will, the white man Tonya Harding-ed the black man's knees before the starting pistol went off. One can only hope things will balance out eventually.

Anyway, when is esteban getting banned??

    @FloydMayweather
Floyd Mayweather Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he's Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don't get the same praise

Floyd first showed his racist nature in 2010 in a video he posted on Ustream. In it he said:

“I’m on vacation for about a year, about a year. As soon as we come off vacation, we’re going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain’t worried about that. So they ain’t gotta worry about me fighting the midget. Once I kick the midget ass, I don’t want you all to jump on my d—. So you all better get on the bandwagon now. … Once I stomp the midget, I’ll make that mother f—– make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice.” –Flo Jo Mayweather

“Some lucky lady in NYC is gonna feel a couple of inches of pain tonight”- Jason Whitlock

Racist Esteban new best friends are racist Whitlock and racist Gayweather.

Is there anything more annoying than a hipocrite lefty?

BTW- Don't knock the esteban guitar 'till you tried it. All my students are using them and they sound fantastic. When I teach them Travis picking, you closed your eyes and you could have sworn you're listening to Chet Atkins.

Mayweather isn't the voice of "black people"...Just like Rush Limbaugh,I would assume, wouldn't be the voice of all "white people"... Picking an idiotic celebrity doesn't exacly give you proof of your pathetic arguments...

Yeah, but he sure feels freer to spit that crap out. It's not about who, but like knote said, a merited excuse to be racist.

Hey, I am not a racist - I just think all white people should die. It is not about hate, it is just about justice and fairness. White people go first, then the rest of the races in reverse alphabetical order.

Race and economic status are intertwined, a result of slavery and civil rights, both of which are still resonant in the educational systems of black communities.

    I agree with that.

However, historically, we do need to handle the situation of black communities a little bit differently, because they were brought here and punished involuntarily.

Floyd Mayweather might be my least favorite person in the world.

Ever see the video with his Dad? Floyd Jr has SERIOUS mental problems, MAN.

"they" were brought here and punished involuntarily? There are no living slaves today. I didn't have a choice as to where my ancestors immigrated to. I don't buy this line of reasoning.

and nobody answered my question from yesterday -- are American blacks the most well-off blacks in the world?

I believe I answered your question.

You didn't have a choice of where your ancestors immigrated to, but your ancestors had a choice, and that is significant. The long reaching hand of slavery is still perpetuated in the school systems of black communities, and is unique to them and only them. That is much different in comparison to the low economic status of other minorities that you justly pointed out.

when you ask a question that makes sense you might get an answer.

Some blacks in America are well off, and some aren't.
