cut the crap. seriously, enough with this lin crap. he's good, we let him go, it's over. what's done is done so let's just move on. this draft that's coming up is going to be a good one so let's just look towards the future and stop thinking about the past.

After his latest post, sure. I honestly think as a post to intelligence ratio, Air is by far the stupidest member on this BBS, and that's really quite an accomplishment.

Though really, anyone who actually proclaims that Lin> Lowry deserves that same banner.

so, you are saying that if we offered the knicks lowry for lin, they'd take that trade in a heartbeat, right?

Whatever. Not like he's actually going to use all the words. Wasn't trying to match 20 posts with 20 numbers anyways.

If you view it purely from a basketball perspective, then yes I would argue that the Knicks would be idiots if they rejected a Lin for Lowry trade. However, since James Dolan is in fact an idiot for a massive amount of reasons I don't need to list, I can't tell what they would do.

This is the mindstate of most houston sports fans and is key to how the owners can continue to profit while losing year after year. Rockets haven't been to western conference finals since the 90's after 10 years people are happy to see texans finally make the playoffs... just make em think next year is the year lol

i like lowry, but what exactly has he proven in his career? give me the rookie that is dominating the league.

would you rather have lowry or kyrie irving? it's no different, you just are more comfortable with irving because he had more hype heading into his nba career.

you can write this stuff in a movie

undrafted overlooked about to get cut...

    This.

By and large, Houston sports fans are pushovers. You're just not a "real" fan if you don't happily agree with the actions of each home team's FO...that or immediately get over it, move on and continue "supporting" the team no matter what.

We were not the only team to pass on Lin.

No Division I school offered him a scholarship
    No NBA team drafted him
Mavs had him in summer league, did not retain him
Warriors had him for a season, rarely played him, D-Leagued him once or twice and let him go
We cut him in training camp
Knicks had him, rarely played him, D-Leagued him once, and almost midway into the season gave him the time and he has been making the most of it.

Sure you can get angry at the FO. But would he really get a chance to do what he is doing with the Knicks here? PG is not a weakness for this team.

Why can't we be happy for him without being bitter?

No you can't. Front Office has done a lot in the recent past. We have a load of mediocre with exceptions of a couple special ones
Lin came outta nowhere. Everyone is saying this. Even the stats geeks didn't predict that much WIN. They said he was having a future in the NBA but not within 10 games.
He is already playing like a superstar..... well when will he cool off.

what about the three quarters before that and his D in the fourth quarter? Calderon and Barbosa were lighting him up. His teammates saved him by playing great fourth quarter defense and then he came through in the clutch with two big plays.
