When everyone has been jumping off the Tmac bandwagon in the past, a few mentioned other players that were emotionally as weak as Tmac has been.
Especially when trade deadline is looming

    Aaron Brooks sulked it
Martin has been playing especially bad these days.

You can't win with your best players being emotionally weak

Why would Kevin intentionally hurt his trade value? If anything, he should be playing his ass off to get out of here.

    Because he can't
This thread is about dodging a bullet
As far as I know he wants to stay a Rocket.

Morey was going to trade him either way.

I don't think something is totally wrong
Adelman was handling his players with soft hands whereas McHale is more of a tough guy that does not shy way from confrontations, benching guys who do not play well.

Maybe he's decreasing his trade value so whatever the Rockets get for him will be much worse... and he can laugh it off when he looks back at our "worsen" situation.

Three slumps in a shortened doesn't make him look good.

Well I think that is the argument in a sense. Once he gets frustrated or faces adversity he kinda self implodes.

You know how integral back court scoring is?
Lowry is not a pure scorer, Chandler is not scoring, Martin has had more bad games than good ones.
Our bench saved our asses in those last 5 games.

Pump fake. Jump Shot 3 feet in front to make contact. No call miss shot! This is why he's slumping. His game has been taken away from him.

I've been thinking about this as well. I watch a lot of hoops, but I only follow the inner workings of the Rockets. I agree that the deadline is weighing on Martin. However, it has affected other players in the past. What I'm curious about is whether this is a result of a lack of confidence that better players (read superstars) would have, or a result of Morey treating players like assets and publicly stressing that everyone is available year in and year out.

I get the feeling that really good teams don't deal with this chronic slumping before the deadline every season.

I agree. Another turd like Tmac who is doing this intentionally or sulking like a little kid.

Kevin Martin was never a Top two pick
    He had to prove himself.

    That's his own fault.
If he can't play basketball without having to constantly run into people just to score points then he is very pathetic indeed.
