It does happen, but not to the extreme. For instance George Will is a conservative columnist as is Peggy Noonan. I don't think any liberal on this board would ignore articles by them if they were presented in a thoughtful way.

But something that comes from the kid who made up the whole ACORN hooker thing that was just editing and not news at all is worth dismissing since he hasn't presented anything true to date. It's a matter of degrees.

Don't have a dog in this particular pissing match, but from limited observation it seems that most of the time, it's either the conservatives on the board dismissing articles from "liberal writers", or everyone else making fun of the conspiracy theory websites that ToyCen and Hightop like to cite. I'm not sure if it's analogous.

pardon me for not reading the article, i saw ezra klein guest host rachel maddow's show so i get his main point which a lot of you guys are missing.

romney wants to further cut taxes and balance the budget. he'd have to cut gov't spending by about 40% or more to make that work based on current spending and income projections.

    iow, its just rhetoric

Franchise, opinions are not "FACTS". I could post conservative writers and you wouldn't believe their 'FACTS". Also, Media Matters, really!!!!!! They have zero credibility. They are just another bunch of George Soros hacks trying to derail Fox News. If a billionaire would pay to have a a staff watch every liberal media outlet, they would find just as many if not a whole lot more mistakes.

Also, for the record, the CBO reported that the REAL unemployment rate is 10% by 2007 standards. You do realize they quit counting people who give up looking for work and quit receiving unemployment benefits? The fact that so many people can't find a job and have used up all their unemployment is artificially lowering the reported unemployment rate. You may not realize this if you get all your "FACTS" from only the liberal media.

cml, the mediamatters link shows a screencap taken from Fox News itself. There are opinions, and then there are facts. And a FACT is that Fox News posted that ludicrous graph. I remember that the Daily Show had a field day with it as well, but I guess that's just another leftist news show, eh?

CML, Kojirou already addressed what was in the link I posted. It has nothing to do with Soros or anyone's opinion. It was a FACTUAL graph that FOX actually posted on their channel. A real fact is a fact no matter where it's posted. The FACT that Fox posted a chart that was bogus and showed a graph that had 8.6% unemployment as being higher than 8.9% is not the opinion of anyone from media matters. It is what the dishonest Fox News did.

An independent study has shown that Mr Obama's budget would create at least 1.5 million jobs this year.

Obama’s Latest Budget Would Create 1.5 Million New Jobs In 2012

The Economic Policy Institute released an analysis today of the programs in President Obama’s newly proposed budget plan which are aimed at boosting job growth. All told, it would yield approximately 1.5 million new jobs in fiscal year 2012, and around 1.3 million in 2013. This would result in a drop in the unemployment rate of 0.5 percent in 2012 and 0.4 percent in 2013, EPI estimated.
