Who says no to a proposal of Dwight and hedo for Melo and Tyson. Magic are running out of time and and dwight is leaving, this way they get a solid C and a star SF who would do better in the half court iso offense taht Van Gundy runs.

Carmello is not great for NY offense, they found a good PG and he is only going to continue to mess up the the flow. This way they get the best defensive big man in the game to make the best finishing group and Pf-C combo in the game anda to add with hedo who can pass and shoot to compliment fields and Lin, that looks like a winner.

If possible, they should trade (1) Amare or (2) Chandler instead of Melo. Those two monster salaries don't belong together on the same team. Stupid move by the Knicks signing Chandler.

to those who defend melo, I am not saying he is a bad player, he is a good player, but not for this offense. This hsould've been considered before Lin's emergence just because he is not good in this flow fast offense. Van gundy has a slow half court offense and melo shoudl be amazing there and they could replace a star and a good C..

Hedo would be perfect in dantonis offense, he could be a point forward and help take pressure off of line, and dwight is dwight. Defensively he will dominate that tamge, way better than chandelor, on offense he is more dangrous as well

I don't see how this doesn't make sense for both teams

Melo was great playing the shooter role in a fast offense when playing with Team USA, give him time to adjust, he'll figure out.

Lin's sucking against the raptors as we speak so let's not get ahead of ourselves. if anything, knicks should fire d'antoni and get a coach with a system that fits melo.

yea i think its either Dantoni or melo, this wasn't so much about Lin although he makes it easier to trade melo, but more so about melo not fitting with them and magic have dwight howard, you get the best C in the game and magic should be happy too.

this trade could've been good for the team pre emergence of Lin. that said, lin is doing ok, but just turnovers, itll happen when you have the ball in your hands that much, LBJ, Jwall, all these guys have had 8 turnover games even as Vets.

You have to think Lin's emergence has provided Pringles with a lifeline thru the season. Whether or not this sets the Knicks back over the long term with Pringles sticking around should be interesting to watch.

I think they should keep Melo and Chandler. Move Amare and play Melo at the 4 (it makes me wanna throw up, but he can rebound as much as Amare if he played the 4 all game). That's a perfect Dantoni ball team.

If you move Chandler you don't win all of these games that Lin kept them in because the opposing team would have a field day in the paint.

Mark my words: Melo will prove to the world that he is a winner, will let Lin be the playmaker and get his.

Everybody assumes that Melo is this selfish whiny guy. They clearly did not watch much of his freshman year at Syracuse, the Nuggets or even Team USA. He was in a position in NY where he was asked to do too much but with Lin at the point, a lot of that pressure will be taken off him.
