That was my favorite part. He really does his homework. BTW, did you know he has a HOF vote and is a movie star?
Indeed. I loved him in Return of the Jedi. "Bring me Solo and the Wookiee. They will all suffer for this outrage."
exactly?? i don't understand. TJ Yates is a "proven winner" according to you. what would be wrong with him taking over? i personally want proven winners behind center on my NFL teams.
Would it be so wrong to actually sign Manning as Schaub's back up, at first, but when both came back healthy we could possibly make it a QB competition for the job? I know the chemistry deal is going to be brought up but these guys are smart and know that it would only be to make the team that much better. We could cut Leinart and make Yates the third stringer again. Once the competition is settled we could trade whoever lost out for draft picks and such. *shrug* Just a thought.
I said "more of a" proven winner than Vince Young. Which is a fact. Nice try at playing "gotcha!" though!
no it isn't. because he's won 1 playoff game? he's "more of a proven winner" than matt schaub too by your measure. and VY would then be "more of a proven winner" than matt schaub, because he's gotten to the postseason. so by your logic, yates should be starting, vy backing him up, schaub 3rd string. wait, sorry...jake delhomme starting, yates backup, VY 3rd string would be your dream scenario. right? gotcha!
I thought about that too, but I would think Schaub and his agent would politely ask for a trade if Manning signs on, even if Kubiak reassures Schaub the starting QB job is his. You don't bring in a Peyton and not think the club is trying to upgrade the position, whether the present or near future.
Cheeseandrice, my IQ has certainly dropped reading these two threads. Keep ****ing that chicken, cardpire.
keep bumping that post count with worthwhile posts like these. and "cheeseandrice"! i love it! what an adorable pun!
Lmao at mcclain saying "shaub starter, TJ yates backup, leinart 3rd" Who gives a ****? None of those guys have anything to do with Peyton Manning. If he comes here and he's healthy enough to play.... then thats all that matters. TJ Yates, lmfao
This is Peyton Manning we're talking about. Yes of course there are concerns about his health and you would have to be convinced he could throw the ball as he once did before bringing him in. BUT once that is done, to me this is something you HAVE to do. He is a major upgrade to Schaub who is....lets face it.....injury prone as well. I don't really see the downside? Unlike the Rockets, the Texans are a team that players now WANT to play for.
This is not basketball. Plus, there would be no money for other talent when you sign Manning, ask the Colts.
