Would you go after Peyton Manning?

Hell No I would not go after him. Not because the neck surgeries because that is the icing on the cake. Dude is not clutch.

Yeah I say the defense and running game won that first superbowl. I also remember when Manning had a chance late against the Saints he threw a pick. I will take Manning all day to get us to the playoffs but give me his brother to win it all

I know I was just saying his brother is more of a big game qb. Not even saying we should go after him since well that will be impossible. And I already stated I would not want Manning. To much money for someone that is not the missing piece to win a superbowl.

 

elite QBs are pretty much essential for winning a superbowl

 

And I am saying a elite regular season QB will not win you one. Now nobody knows how healthy he will be or if he will have the arm strength.

Okay lets put it like this and say Manning will not come cheap for a vet minimum or what little cap space the Texans have. To sign him you will have to say goodbye to Arian and Mario. Might have to let Myers and Mike go which is almost half of that very good OL. Won't even be able to sign another corner, NT, or wideout which are all at the top of the list of needs.

 

Yates is a solid backup. He will only get better, and the Texans were capable of beating solid teams with him under center. We barely lost in the playoffs on the road against one of the best teams in the NFL.

 

You can let Mario go and trade Schaub and probably have room for both Foster and Manning.

I am alright with letting Mario go. But you can't be okay with losing the Mike or Chris. ****e Eric had his worst games when Mike was not playing. You can not lose your OL to get Manning who needs that protection.

 

really? because two qbs in smith and flacco where a special teams disaster from playing in the Superbowl. Which just proves this crazy theory that it's a TEAM sport, all three phases.

I don't think we would have to lose them. We have more cap space than you are thinking. Getting rid of Mario + trading Schaub frees up a ton of money, too.

 

Roethlisberger shouldn't be in that group, he is no better than Schaub and probably worse.
