Dragic simply because of our system. Lin is in a heavy pick and roll offense with no Carmelo dominating the ball yet. He is doing well but Dragic is a better fit for our motion style offense and a better outside shooter.. IMHO...
Dragic looks like a finished product to me. His play hasn't really improved all that much from his days in Phoenix. He plays with one gear, and lacks a nuanced point guard play. I like Lin's ability to switch gears and get the right guys involved on a given play. The Knicks play so much better on offense and defense with him. Under scouted or not, if you have to game plan to slow down a guy, it's a sign that the player is pretty damn good. Lin is good. The talk out of D'Antoni is that Melo will have to adjust to Lin, not visa versa. Chew on that for a bit.
you really think Melo is going to get back in the lineup and "adjust" to Lin? That is laughable, even Chauncey couldn't control or guide Melo. But Lin will right? That NY offense is tailored for PG's. If Lin was in any other system he would not have the same success... I do agree he is good though...
http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/d-antoni-melo-lin-can-play-together-1.3521033 If you read between the lines, you should read Carmelo will adjust to Lin. Lin, by default, has been adjusting to the line ups.
If he keeps up this level of play, then the obvious answer is lin. ****, if it turns out he really is as good as he has shown, I'd take him over Lowry. He can di everything you want a pg to do, has great size like dragic, and will be deadly with a consistent outside shot. He's also probably a better fit for the rockets current offense than Lowry.
That's more along the lines of what I was getting at. Its great what he's doing, but he has to show he can do it consistently, and against the best competition. I really dont think there is any reason he can't, but having Carmelo back is going to change things completely.
No way Dragic could do what Lin, heck not even Lowry could do what the kid has done with a knicks roster of NOvak ! Jefferies ! Bill Walker !
Actually, I think at the end of the season, there will not be any doubt that Dragic can't sniff Lin's jockstrap.
there have been stretches of 3-4 games this year where Kyle has averaged as many turnovers as that. That isn't too bad, or too suprising for someone getting their first starts in the NBA. His assist numbers are there though, which is pretty impressive with that joke of a lineup.
If you asked Morey, he would probably preferred Lin. Dragic may be too expensive to sign after the season.
